Summary:Our client has over forty years’ experience in the printing industry. Their passion is to improvise and extend their creativity in new directions. They are a one stop shop for all their clients printing needs.
Job Objective:
Manufactures products by supervising staff; organizing and monitoring work flow.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize
and direct work efforts of staff responsible for production of printing
projects;
- Direct use of
current data processing tools to monitor and revise production plans;
- Establishes
long-range production plans for plant; confer with staff members
responsible for producing projects to meet established production
schedules;
- Implement
training programs for staff members to ensure understanding of equipment
and latest production techniques;
- Directs staff
support responsible for answering inquiries; monitor availability of job
materials and take corrective action as required;
- Maintain
schedule information and prepare reports;
- Help in any way
necessary in order to meet established production schedules.
Experience:
- 5-7 years’
experience in a publishing or print industry with at least two years
previous supervisory experience
Skills
and Certification:
- Diploma in Print
Production
- Knowledge of the
print production process
- Strong attention
to detail and operational workflow dynamics to effectively track and
analyze the status within the procurement process
- Ability to
multi-task and utilize resources to execute tasks within a deadline
oriented environment
- Excellent
communication and negotiating skills
- Commitment to
continuous process improvement initiatives and ability to solve problems
creatively
- Highly motivated
and high level of initiative; inspires confidence to work independently
and in support of department goals and business objectives
- Ability to build
relationships and work across a multi-product line organization
- Strong analytics
and computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
