Human Resource Manager
AAH-I, an international non-profit making agency that implements health and development projects in Africa seeks to recruit a Human Resource Manager for its programmes implemented in South Sudan, Uganda, Zambia, Kenya and Somalia.
Required Qualifications:
- A
Masters degree in HRM and Strategic management
- Business
Administration Degree
- Additional
training in labour laws
- At
least 5 years experience in a similar or a higher position

Job objective:
- Responsible
for a diverse workforce within the region, to facilitate the achievement
of organizational objectives.
- Responsible
for general methods, procedures, policies and regulations of personnel
management and Human resources development programs.
Expected Service:
- Managing
the Human Resource and Administration functions of the organization in a
manner that ensures there is a conducive working environment, a skilled
and motivated workforce that facilitates the achievement of the objectives
of the organization and that the organization is in compliance with
employment legislature in its different countries of operation.
- Implement
a Performance Management System within AAH-I that will provide
accountability to all staff and to ensure that this accountability is with
reference to the donor project implementation requirements.
- Ensure
that the performance management system focuses on real-time monitoring and
evaluating improvements in operational performance at field level in terms
of impact, coherence, timeliness, relevance, outcome, effectiveness,
efficiency, and sustainability against the stated objectives of the donor.
This will inform the objectives and activities of AAH-I at the regional
level.
- Put
in place and regularly review and update succession plans that ensure the
continuous availability of internal candidates, to fill vacancies within
the supervisory and management grades.
- Develop
and manage talent recruitment process, review and assist with salary
review processes, and plan and conduct new employee orientation.
Output:
- Analysis
and report on individual staff performance
- Result-based
performance management planning and assessment tool used
- The
existing job descriptions refined so that they are clear, defined,
rational and consistent for each staff.
- Developed
benchmarks and monitoring systems for:
- Effectiveness
of Coordination Management
- Improved
identification of need
- Enhanced
programme planning and implementation
- Improved
monitoring and information management.
