Our client is a reputable value addition service provider in the
telecommunication industry with operations in East Africa, West Africa, Central
and South Africa.
Our client is looking for young and enthusiastic professionals
for the position of Key Accounts Manager.
The position is charged with the responsibility to manage key
clients’ accounts for the company and ensure quality service provision to
clients and development and maintenance of profitable relationships.
The Key Accounts Manager will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and will work closely with both the technical, financial and support teams.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible
for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on
client deliverables and revenue.
- Review
all major deliverables (i.e. strategic brief, function spec, tech spec,
etc.) to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.
- Ensure
that Key Account client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner,
informing the Chief Commercial Officer and / or relevant persons of any
problems that may arise.
- Own
the contract and contract renewals for new work for an existing client.
- Initiate
and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets and
satisfy existing customers’ needs
- Assist
in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
- Work
closely with the project team in order to maintain a continuous knowledge
of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or
opportunities within or related to the project.
- Ensure
that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are
met, and that projects are profitable.
- Be
aware and in pursuit of opportunities for accounts growth and new business
- Communicate
the client's goals and represent the client's interests to the team.
- Provide
regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide
strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
- Understanding
of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicate all
offerings to the client.
- Prepare
and make report on market analysis, competitor analysis and market trends.
- Conduct
reviews on accounts on regular basis to evaluate clients’ demands.
- Report
to the Chief Commercial Officer, providing regular input on all account
activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate
degree
- Proven
Key Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and
enhance customer relationships
- Minimum
5 years’ experience in Accounts management (Preferably from FMCG)
- Extremely
detail oriented
- Proficient
in Marketing and Sales competence
- Motivated,
goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator
- High
level of initiative and work well in a team environment
- Excellent
written and oral communication skills
- Handles
stressful situations and deadline pressures well
- Plans
and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
