PRISK Licensing Manager Consultancy
The Performers Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK) is a Collective Management Organisation that is licensed by the Kenya Copyright Board under the Copyright Act, 2001 Laws of Kenya to represent performers (singers, musicians, actors, dancers and instrumentalists).
Purpose
PRISK seeks to engage a Consultant Licensing Manager to handle its licensing operations throughout Kenya.
The Licensing Manager will handle both broadcasting and
communication to the public licensing including hotels, restaurants, transport
sector, beauty salons and events.
The appointed Licensing Manger will be a dynamic, visionary and
result oriented person of high ethical standards, integrity and professionalism
with the overall mandate of managing strong commercial and administrative
functions of the Societies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reporting
to the General Manager, the Licensing Manager will have the following
duties and responsibilities;
- Steer
PRISK to higher business growth and profitability;
- Formulate
and implement best practice of collective management principles and
effective communication between the users and the licensing officers as
well as between different levels of management in the organisation so as
to promote ethical practices
- Provide
innovative and creative leadership;
- Staff
motivation and development to ensure retention of highly motivated and
committed human capital;
- Perform
other duties as may be assigned by the General Manager from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop
and implement licensing, invoicing and marketing plans and strategies for
collection of royalties;
- Ensure
high levels of PRISK’s visibility in the market;
- Set
targets and collection forecasts and ensure they are achieved;
- Device
and support the company’s collection strategies;
- Establish
and maintain good corporate relations and implement a customer care
management program;
- Steer
market research, intelligence and conceptualize new ways of royalty
collection from the users for the society;
Qualifications and key competencies
- 3
years experience in a similar capacity/field.
- A
bachelor’s degree in a business related field.
- Demonstrate
excellent people management skills.
- Have
proven leadership and supervisory experience.
- Have
excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
- Be
fluent in both English and Kiswahili.
- Ability
to work under pressure and meet targets.
