World Neighbors, an international community development organization, seeks to
recruit for then following two positions based in Nairobi, Kenya:
Regional Finance Officer (RFO):
- The
RFO is responsible for Africa region’s financial management including
reporting of all financial transactions to headquarters;
- supervises
two staff;
- works
closely with headquarters finance staff and staff of partner
organizations.
Requirements:
- Basic
university degree with 6 years related experience or post-graduate degree
with 3 years experience;
- certified
public accountant (CPA), an ACCA or equivalent;
- non-profit
experience;
superior knowledge of and proficiency in computerized accounting (e.g. Quick Books) and MS Office; - ability
to analyze financial data and prepare concise reports;
- good
communication skills;
- proficiency
in English and Swahili;
- knowledge
of French a plus.
- Position
requires some international travel to rural areas.
Executive Assistant (EA):
- The
EA is responsible for all secretarial functions and specified administrative
and logistical duties;
- supervises
one staff;
- manages
office petty cash;
- manages
office supplies;
- works
closely with headquarters human resources and IT support staff as well as
staff of partner organizations.
Requirements:
- Diploma
in office administration or human resources or a related discipline with
at least 3 years experience in a similar position or 6 years experience
for a high school graduate;
- non-profit
experience;
- superior
knowledge of and proficiency in MS Office;
- good
communication skills;
- proficiency
in English and Swahili;
- knowledge
of French a plus.
