Kaduyi Total Service Station in Bungoma, with a garden restaurant is looking for a chef who takes pride in tickling the taste buds of our customers with simple and healthy menus.
The kitchen will be equipped with the latest in the cooking technology and fresh fruit juice bar to produce tasty and quality foods for a varied clientele.
The candidate shall be expected to revolutionize the restaurant food with healthy, tasty Responsibilities
· plan menus and work out food and labour costs
· Plan staff rosters and supervise the activities of cooks.
· discuss food preparation issues with managers, and other staff members
· order food, kitchen supplies and equipment
· demonstrate techniques to cooks and advise on cooking procedures
· prepare and cook food
· divide food into portions and add gravies, sauces and garnishes
· explain and enforce hygiene regulations
· select and train staff
· freeze and preserve foods.
Profile/Requirement
· Diploma in Hotel Management and at least 2 yrs experience.
· high level of personal cleanliness
· enjoy cooking
· able to organize efficient work schedules
· good communication skills
· punctuality
· flexibility to perform shift work on a 16-hour rotating roster as required
· able to work under pressure and stay calm in difficult situations.
Long term contract.
