Matibabu Foundation Kenya is a Non-Governmental organization whose mission is to empower communities to take charge of their health, improve access to quality integrated health services and strengthen linkages to other essential services.

The organization does this through integrated community and facility based health interventions.

Matibabu Foundation is seeking to recruit a 
Medical Doctor who will be in charge managing the integrated community and facility based health interventions.

Responsible to the Matibabu Foundation Director of Health Programs, the Medical Doctor will manage clients in the two Matibabu clinics; the HIV Comprehensive Care Clinic (CCC) and the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) departments in the government health facility; and the level 4 Matibabu Women and Children Hospital.

Key Responsibilities will be:
  • Responding to medical/health problems presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate.
  • Providing specialist clinics for specific conditions or for certain groups, e.g., diabetes, hypertension, well baby, and well woman clinics.
  • Providing technical guidance, supportive supervision, and mentorship to clinical officers and other health care workers.
  • Participating or taking a lead role in clinical research.
  • Establishing and maintaining a health management information system including but not limited to a database management system, analysis and reports.
Applicants should have a Medical Degree- MBChB; must be registered to practice in Kenya by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board; have Experience in Pediatrics as well as Obstetrics and Gynecology and at least 3 years relevant work experience. Surgical skills will be an added advantage.
