Reporting to the Human Resources and Administration Manager, the incumbent will assist in sourcing, developing and retaining a skilled and motivated employee base to drive the business in achieving its objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Assist in Reviewing, developing and maintaining appropriate Human Capital policies and procedure
  • Assist in Preparing and implementing a firm wide recruitment plan to ensure effective manpower planning
  • Responsible for continuous staff learning and development plans
  • Ensures effective employee induction & on boarding programs
  • Coordinates and monitors performance management and appraisal activities
  • Assist in Preparation of departmental budget and monitor firm wide headcount and Human Capital costs against budget
  • Assist in developing creative ways of rewarding staff to ensure staffs are highly committed, motivated and engaged.
  • Responsible for HR Information Management System, produce regular HR reports, create and maintain updated HR Information Systems
  • Assist in managing the firms internal communication and employee engagement/retention processes
  • Handles employee relations/ i.e. industrial relations including the CBA
  • Administers equitable and balanced pay structures including employee compensation, benefits and payroll
  • Handles housekeeping and general cleanliness i.e. efficient and effecting working environment
  • Ensures all administrative matters related to staff are dealt with in accordance with laid down policies
  • Assists in training employees e.g. Internal trainings

Requirements
  • First Degree in a related field.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar position in a busy commercial environment
  • Sound knowledge of the prevailing Labour Laws of Kenya.
  • Experience in handling Collective Bargaining Agreements
  • Experience in handling payroll and HRMS
  • Training skills will be an added advantage
