Sales & Marketing Executive – ShopnSave Jobs in Kenya

ShopnSave Ltd is a mobile advertising company incorporated in Kenya.  Shopnsave offers a wide array of mobile advertising solutions and communications varying from bulk SMS, Sponsored SMS (Free texts), text-based coupons, opt-in text alerts, premium SMS content (like the 411 service) among others.
ShopnSave Ltd is currently looking to hire a sales & marketing personnel to market and sell its products and services initially in Kenya and later in Rwanda and the whole of East African region.
The successful candidate will be tasked with assisting and maintaining the ShopnSave client base through effective customer meetings and value added sales and marketing projects.
Customer / Sales Element
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, by carrying out customer meetings and service calls, to promote the desired image of the company and obtain necessary feedback.
  • Address all incoming customer complaints in a timely manner, working with relevant management / customer services / product teams to promote product and process improvements where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of customer visits and documentation of customer’s activities
  • Assist in the preparation of Customer Tenders/Quotations responses
  • Submit a weekly and monthly report which details customer feedback, highlighting key improvement areas and appropriate action points
  • Prepare and deliver professional business presentations, email & SMS campaigns and social media marketing to keep clients informed of the latest developments and solutions available
Marketing Element

  • Maintain and develop marketing support literature and participate in e-marketing projects that fully reflect the Company and its capabilities
  • Contribute to the long-term marketing plans, strategies and budgets
  • Organize and where appropriate attend events and exhibitions
  • Keep abreast of economic climate and market trends
Competent in the following areas:
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively to meet the demands of the business
  • Ability to gain knowledge on materials and technologies available to provide efficient solutions to meet Customers’ demands
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within a Customer’s organization
  • Understand and actively promote Company and Customer culture and safety policies /procedures
  • Ability to provide holiday/absence cover for colleagues when necessary
  • Ensure computer literacy e.g. Microsoft Word, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and ease of use of internet applications through experience and training
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Element of previous sales experience advantageous
  • A monthly retainer and a commission of 30% on all direct sales and 10% commission on all indirect sales.
