Fafi Integrated Development Association (FaIDA) is a local Non-Governmental organization, operating in Fafi District to address the causes and consequences of human suffering and poverty amongst the most vulnerable communities in the region.
FaIDA is seeking to recruit a Kenyan National for the position of Finance Officer to based in Jarajilla for 3 months (April- June 2010) and may be extended depending on availability of funds.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Bank reconciliation and maintain updated and detailed records and reconciliations of debtor and creditor.
- Preparation of payment vouchers, coding them and ensuring that all relevant documents are attached and dully signed.
- Maintain the ACCPAC General Ledger in order to
produce timely reports in accordance with FaIDA finance manual. Ensure proper coding of all expenses and income, approval of journal Vouchers, data entry & posting. - Monitoring of Bank and Cash balances to ensure optimum balances at all times
- Conducting internal audits and facilitating external audits.
- Preparing monitoring reports, financial reports, donor contracts and advice the program staff on implementation levels.
- Any other project management work assigned by the Field Coordinator
Required Qualifications
- A Kenyan national, Speaks and writes fluent English and Swahili and Mature, self motivated, active and organized
- At least a degree in business administration/commerce, with CPA II or an ACCA finalist
- At least 2 years INGO/LNGO experience especially in financial accounting
- Proven skills in achieving results, ensuring quality, team building and capacity building.
- Strong computer skills including Accounting packages
