Requirement for
Appointment
Served in the grade of Fireman ll or
comparable grade in the Public Service for at least three (3) years;
First Aid Certificate course lasting
not less than one (1) week from St. Johns Ambulance or Kenya Institute of
Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution
Fireman l Certificate from a
recognized Fire Services Training School/Institution; and
Shown merit and ability as reflected
in work performance and results.
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspection and maintenance of
fire-fighting appliances;
Assisting in rescue operations during
emergency;
Operating appliances and communication
equipment; and
Siting of fire appliances.
