  • Product Team (collaborators)
  • Commercial Teams in the various countries

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Do you enjoy translating everyday stories into great visual stories? Are you adept at managing creative processes and delivering impactful campaigns? Then we are looking for you! The senior creative lead will manage the general visual creative execution that supports business operations.


To be successful as a creative leader, you should have extensive experience as a graphic designer and knowledge of visual design styles and techniques. You should also have experience in implementing marketing campaigns in multiple countries.

Ultimately, an excellent senior creative lead will ensure that internal and outsourced design teams deliver world-class projects on time and promote the company’s vision through high-quality graphic content.

Duties & Responsibilities

The role holder would be responsible for the following: 

  • Conceptualise & Design product marketing, digital and content marketing creatives
  • Develop design guidelines, templates and processes
  • Collaborate and ideate with cross-functional teams, including copywriters, product designers, graphic designers, and brand & marketing managers, to build and maintain visual brand excellence for a wide range of design needs
  • Overseeing all design projects, from conception to delivery
  • Managing and reviewing junior designers’ work to ensure high-quality delivery
  • Liaise with business, marketing and design teams to develop and launch a variety of projects
  • Help deliver projects on time, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Communicate with the team and ensure all members are on board with delegated tasks
  • Seek opportunities for process improvement and suggest new methods where appropriate

Qualification:

  • 5+ years of experience in producing content for web/online audiences.
  • Proficiency in creating graphics and animations. Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects etc.)
  • Superb graphic design skills and mastery over creating templates & guidelines
  • Expertise in digital multi-media & content marketing (emails, in-app tools, paid social and display channels) best practices
  • Experience managing large projects & leading teams; ability to design according to business and product requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design
  • Proficiency in: Figma, Adobe CC Design Suite (PS, AI, ID, AE), and Keynote
  • Experience collaborating w/ teams using cloud-based software (Slack, Monday, Google Suite, etc.)

Must have experience:

  • Fluent in written & spoken English
  • Hands-on experience with design and image editing software
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a multi-brand campaign
  • Experience with taking campaigns live in different countries in Africa- with sufficient proof of the impact of campaigns on growth.
  • Have led a team of creatives /designers

Nice to-have experience:

  • Motion skills (AE, Premiere, Final Cut, Principle, etc.)
  • WordPress / Webflow Development – comfortable taking on basic templated website projects
  • Experience in the technology sector- branding, campaign development, etc.
  • Experience working with multinational teams
  • A robust portfolio of past work

  • Top-notch communication skills, including the ability to present ideas compellingly both internally and externally

  • Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colours, fonts and layouts
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • You are creative, innovative, and always think outside the box
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent cross-organization collaboration skills.
