Job Title: Senior Accountant


Report To: Chief Executive Officer
Location: Nairobi
Gross Salary: Competitive
Our client is a leading ICT integration company.
They seek to hire a Senior Accountant to provide comprehensive financial and decision support to the company.
Responsibilities

·         Ensure accurate company forecasting and budget preparation
·         Develop and document accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
·         Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
·         Management and maintenance of percentage margin on all company products
·         Management of all stores and procurement operations
·         100% enforcement of the credit policy
·         Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company
·         Compliance of lead time periods for local and imported products as per the company’s policy
·         Ensure clearance of dead stock as per internal processes
·         Research on technical finance and accounting issues for compliance
·         Enforce Annual Pre-qualification of suppliers as per ISO 9001:2015
·         Manage and comply with local, government reporting requirements and tax filings
·         Oversee finance team i. e monitoring performance, grow, develop and build a team
·         Ensure 100% compliance with PPOA, ISO 9001:2015, ERP, quick books and all other expected regulations
·         Develop and present financial reports to Management and board members as expected

Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
·         CPA (K) graduate
·         Master’s Degree in Finance / Accounting or strategic management shall be an added advantage
·         A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounting
·         Knowledge of Quick books or Pastel accounting packages
·         Strong analytical skills
·         Experience in the negotiation, interpretation & management of loan agreements and various contracts
·         Good communication skills
·         Competent accounting and control skills related to project entities
·         Proven administrative, leadership and management ability in the areas of strategic planning and organizational development
·         Ability to develop, monitor and maintain management information systems and procedures
·         Experience of financial responsibility for a budget
·         Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
·         Ability to lead and to contribute to the team
