Senior Manager IT Applications & Asset Management

Senior Manager IT Applications & Asset Management

IT Service Delivery and Relationship Management Department supports all other System Application except Core Banking system. It also manages all the assets by monitoring and manage Annual Operating Expenses, Annual Project Budgets and Annual Licenses budget for the Applications supported.
The job holder will ensure the management of Core Enterprise Business Applications (except core banking system) and IT Assets are fit for purpose by effectively contributing to their acquisition process, stability, security, integrity, and efficient operation in order to maximize the benefit of IT Application systems investments.
Responsibilities:
·         Understand the strategic direction of the enterprise and the supporting IT systems and architectures in line with emerging technological trends and utilize this knowledge to educate both IT and the business on opportunities to build better IT solutions that support and drive business decisions.
·         Contribute to the architecture and technology needs of the organization based on new and emerging technologies, and establish priorities and strategies consistent with business goals and economic viability.
·         Develop and maintain the strategic and annual asset management plans aligned with the business strategy and budget, and in consultation with Procurement and Finance where applicable, develop asset needs assessment, acquisition management, operational and disposal plans.
·         Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments of the IT Applications and Assets Management Team, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality and performance reviews; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
·         Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers; coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.
·         Develop risk management procedures, business continuance scenarios, contingency and disaster recovery plans for the managed central and distributed IT Applications to maintain operations during downtime and/or major disasters. Identify and makes recommendations regarding critical points of failure. Develop and implement procedures for business continuance and disaster recovery plans. Proactive in building processes to minimize/eliminate downtime.
·         Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP). Review proposed systems software for fitness for purpose and compliance with applicable quality assurance standards before acquisition or implementation Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and SLAs for Information Technology services.
·         Define and implement IT Application Delivery and Support plans and goals in support of the Business strategy and goals of the organization.
Qualifications
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
·         Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field of study.
·         Professional qualifications such as MCSE or MCITP.
·         Project Management is added advantage.
·         6 years supervisory experience in Information Technology with hands on experience in:
·         Internet Technologies.
·         Operating Systems.
·         Database Management.
·         Hardware Management.
·         Knowledge on the principles and practice of IT Assets lifecycle management.
·         Experience in methods & techniques for installation, administration, monitoring, upgrading and problem resolution of central application software systems.
·         Knowledge and experience in basic budgeting, contracting, purchasing practices, policies and procedures in an IT environment.
·         Exceptional interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation and contract negotiation.

Senior Relationship Manager, Regional Markets
The Position:
Reporting to the Head, Regional Markets, the position will be the principal contact between a designated portfolio of Regional Markets customers and the Bank in order to drive business, manage profitability growth and maximize revenue. This position will be responsible for the management of Client relationships to deliver products and services from our Corporate offices in Mombasa.
Responsibilities:
·         To implement the Regional Markets Sector Strategy in line with the overall Corporate Banking Strategy; to ensure achievement of profitability targets through revenue maximization and prudent cost management.
·         Drive sustainable growth through the delivery of innovative and customized financial solutions to meet identified customer needs.
·         To build and maintain productive strategic relations with Customers/ Suppliers/ Line manager/ Stakeholders to drive the development and delivery of business solutions and revenue growth for the Regional Markets sector.
·         Ensure strong cross-selling of existing and new products to existing and new clients; and in this process, maintain effective liaison with all relevant Business Units in the Bank.
·         Champion the delivery of consistent, seamless and trusted customer service to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
·         Ensure timely submission of quality credit proposals in conformity with the Credit Policy guidelines and requirements.
·         Maintain the quality of assigned portfolio within stipulated Non-Performing Loans (NPL) and Portfolio at Risk (PAR) parameters.
·         Ensure timely 68preparation of relevant reports and daily monitoring of accounts to ensure facilities have accurate interest rates within the approved limits and taking remedial actions, in line with policy.
·         Ensure compliance to the Bank’s policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
·         Lead, motivate, and continuously develop a credible high performing team.
Qualifications
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
·         University Degree preferably in a Business related field from an institution recognized by Commission of Higher Education.
·         Master’s degree or Professional qualifications in a relevant field preferably CPA/ ACCA or AKIB will be an added advantage.
·         8 years’ experience in managing Regional Markets (Coast, Western, Rift & KCB Subsidiary) Portfolio with below responsibilities:
o    Sales; deal origination and execution of customized financial solutions

o    4 years’ experience in Project Management, Asset Based Financing & Trade Financing

Senior Business Development Manager, Trade Finance
The Position:
The Trade Finance Unit is responsible for developing and growing Trade Finance business in the Bank. With a team of Trade Product Specialists, its services and products are availed to all customer segments from Retail to Corporate Banking in partnership with business and relationship teams across the Bank. The unit also serves as a Centre of Trade Finance expertise for the KCB Group.
Reporting to the Head Trade Finance, the position will be responsible for the implementation of the Trade Finance strategy, growth of Trade Finance incomes and business volumes through effective management of the assigned portfolio of Trade Finance clients across a spectrum of sectors whilst ensuring high level of customer satisfaction and compliance to internal procedures and operational controls.
Responsibilities:
·         To implement the Trade Finance strategy in line with the overall Corporate Banking Strategy; to ensure achievement of profitability targets through revenue maximization and prudent cost management.
·         Drive the growth of Trade Finance incomes, business volumes and manage assigned portfolio from the process of deal origination, structuring and credit approval to contracting and placement to ensure that the process is finalized within optimal time.
·         Participate in the preparation of annual business development plans covering all aspects of International Trade Finance.
·         Provide expert Advisory services on Trade Finance products, services, solutions and transactions to Clients, Sales and Colleagues and all other relevant stakeholders.
·         Build and maintain productive and strategic relations with customers/ suppliers/ line manager/ stakeholders to drive the development and delivery of business solutions and revenue growth for the portfolio.
·         Prospect for ‘new to bank’ clients in conjunction with Relationship Managers and offer innovative and customised solutions.
·         Champion the delivery of consistent, seamless and trusted customer service to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
·         Provide leadership to assigned direct reports and continuously develop a high performing team.
·         Develop, implement and manage a range of innovative Trade Finance products and solutions so as to meet customer requirements and achieve business objectives.
·         Enhance uptake of KCB’s Trade Finance products & services by existing and new clients by providing technical product expertise and conducting joint calls in partnership with other relevant business units.
·         Track customer and competitor activity; analyse relevant market and industry data to identify opportunities for innovation and business growth.
·         Ensure timely submission of quality credit proposals in conformity with the Credit Policy guidelines.
·         Ensure compliance with the Bank’s policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
