Job Title: IT Support Technician

Job Purpose: To provide technical support, troubleshooting and assistance to IT and related systems with technical, hardware, and software system problems such as but not limited to connection problems, inabilities to access data, slow performance, and inefficient programs.
Responsibilities:
·         Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, including account setup and network configuration

·         Tracking system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
·         Researching and identifying solutions to software and/or hardware issues
·         Support in the development of programs to train staff and customers on how to properly use Optiven App.
·         Evaluation of the systems’ problems to recommend enhancements
·         Properly escalating unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)
·         Providing prompt and accurate feedback to management
·         Referring to internal databases or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
·         Ensuring all issues are properly logged
·         Prioritizing and managing several open issues at one time
·         Following up with staff to ensure their technical systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
·         Preparing accurate and timely reports
·         Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
·         Maintain jovial relationships with clients
Requirements:
·         Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
·         Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
·         Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
·         Experience in handling and managing ERP software.
·         Familiarity with backend applications and help desk software (e.g. Zendesk)
·         Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
·         Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
·         Higher Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field

·         Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods.
·         Directing our software programming initiatives and overseeing the development of documentation.
·         Working closely with clients and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals.
·         Analyzing data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or the modification of existing systems.
·         Managing the software development lifecycle.
·         Monitoring system performance.
·         Communicating key project data to team members and building cohesion among teams.
·         Developing and executing project plans.
·         Applying mathematics and statistics to problem-solving initiatives.
·         Applying best practices and standard operating procedures.
·         Creating innovative solutions to meet our company’s technical needs.
·         Testing new software and fixing bugs.
·         Shaping the future of our systems.
·         Independently install, customize and integrate commercial software packages
·         Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
·         Mobile applications development (Android, IOS or Windows) will be an added advantage
Qualifications:
·         Proven experience as a Software Developer, at least a 2 year working experience
·         Knowledge of coding language (e.g. Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, php) and Database frameworks oracle, MySQL.
·         Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies
·         The candidate should have a Degree in IT, BSc. or a related field.
·         Good command of English language in both written and verbal communication.
·         Problem solving, logical thinking and excellent report writing.
·         Experience in handling and managing ERP software.
·         Excellent debugging, Software testing and problem solving skills, staying up to date with the latest trends and are excited to learn new languages, tools, and best practices.
·         Advanced system administration skills (including networking).
·         Ability to document requirements and specifications and well versed with software development documentation tools.
