Job Advertisement: Head of Sales

City Walk is a registered company in Kenya and has been in operations since 1991 with 25 branches.
City Walk specializes in selling of elegant, unique and stylish footwear, bags, clothes and leather items.
The successful candidate will work with our large sales team to ensure that all the branches achieve their targets and company achieves it financial goals.
This position reports to the Directors.

Responsibilities
·         Motivating the sales team to achieve the best results possible.
·         Setting activity and revenue targets for members of the sales team.
·         Continual training and development of all members of the sales department.
·         Attending key meetings with members of the sales team.
·         Working on account management of key corporate accounts within the branch
·         Manage Marketing budget and assist with the Marketing of company products
·         Identifying key areas for improvement in the sales process.
·         Spotting market opportunities for new customers.
·         Attending monthly meetings with other senior members of the business.
·         All aspects of recruitment and selection for the sales department together with HR
·         Attending industry events and conferences to generate new business leads.
·         Acting as a spokesperson for the organization at sales events and conferences.
·         Networking with other directors in order to generate new business for the company.
·         Monthly reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances.
·         Identify new ways of generating incremental revenue/minimizing expenses for the organization.
·         Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
Qualifications
·         Degree in business management
·         Previous 4+ years’ experience successfully managing sales teams ideally from a RETAIL FASHION INDUSTRY.
·         Professional sales training would be a strong advantage.
·         Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business.
·         Strong leadership skills and an ability to inspire sales teams.
·         Self-motivated with high energy sales drive.
·         Proven track record of closing business by building quality client relationships.
·         Creativity to structure mutually beneficial deals.
·         Excellent, proven cold call skills.
·         Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize goals.
·         Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
·         Ability to work some evenings and weekends, based on business needs.
·         Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications.

Job Advertisement: Senior Accountant
City Walk is a registered company in Kenya and has been in operations since 1991 with 25 branches.
City Walk specializes in selling of elegant, unique and stylish footwear, bags, clothes and leather items.
The successful candidate will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing financial statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.
This position reports to the Directors.
Responsibilities
·         Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports;
·         Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions;
·         Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures;
·         Analyze and review budgets and expenditures for the company, contracts, in-line with organizational strategic goals;
·         Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness;
·         Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents;
·         Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control;
·         Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients;
·         Resolve accounting discrepancies;
·         Recommend, develop and maintain financial databases, computer software systems and manual filing systems;
·         Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company’s automated financial systems;
·         Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits;
·         Develop the annual operating budget and consult with departmental management on the fiscal aspects of program planning, salary recommendations, and other administrative actions;
·         Provide accounting policy orientation for new staff;
Qualifications
·         At least 5+ years and above hands on accounting experience at senior level;
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or equivalent Degree plus CPA K.;
·         Knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Budgeting, And Cost Control Principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles;
·         Knowledge of Financial and Accounting software applications particularly Sage Pastel Accounting software;
·         Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections;
·         Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule;
·         Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications.
