Qualifications
·
Bachelor degree in commerce,
accounting or finance option.
·
CPA (k) finalist.
·
Members of professional body ICPA
(K).
·
Institute of internal auditors IIAK.
·
Computer literacy.
·
At least 3years experience in a
similar position.
·
Minimum age of 30years.
·
Demonstrate high integrity.
Responsibilities
·
Ensure adequate design of financial
controls.
·
Cultivate a culture of sound
financial policies and practices.
·
Verify the entire payment document
before any payment is done to the client.
·
Raise query of any questionable
financial transaction.
·
Ensure up to date audit programme for
financial control.
·
Plan for internal financial
disclosure.
·
Advice the Principal on sound
financial policies and practices.
Terms:
1 year contract.
Desired
skills and competencies in all four (4) positions include: strong management,
negotiation skills, excellent interpersonal skill, communication skills, and
ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines and ICT skills.
Security Officer
Qualifications
·
Form Four (4) Certificates with
C-(minus) and above.
·
Substantive training from Uniformed
Forces is an added advantage
·
Possess good communication skills in
English and Kiswahili
·
Knowledge in all aspect of human
physical and electronic security i.e. CCTV, IDS.
·
Minimum 5 years’ experience.
·
Minimum age of 30 years and above.
·
Basic computer literacy.
Responsibilities
·
Maintain proper record of all
occurrences in the institute.
·
Review the various security &
safety programs.
·
Liaise closely with the outsourced
security services provider.
·
Identify and advise the principal on
present and future requirements for security manpower and equipment.
·
Report all cases of breakages/loss of
the institutes property/resources etc.
·
Ensure that the firefighting
equipment is maintained and serviced regularly.
·
Perform any other duties as assigned
to him/her by the Principal.
Nurse
Qualifications
·
Diploma in Nursing and community
health from a recognized Medical Training College.
·
Registered by nursing council of
Kenya.
·
Active practicing license from
nursing council of Kenya.
·
Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
·
Minimum 28 years.
·
Demonstrate high integrity.
Responsibilities
·
Develops policies, procedures and
work standards for Institute health program.
·
Treating all students and staff of
the institute and referring them to the laboratories when need arises.
·
Counseling all the patients before or
after treatment.
·
Accompanying students during regional
and national game tournaments and the Drama festivals.
·
Accompanying the very sick to the
hospital within Thika town and when they are admitted.
·
Advising students on life issues.
·
Prepares health reports for
supervisor, board of education and health department.
·
Responsible for students with
disabilities welfare in terms of accommodation and health issues.
·
Provides first aid care and
refurbishing the first aid kits.
·
Refurbishing the departmental first
aid kits.
·
Maintains security of school health
supplies.
·
Serves as a resource person on health
issues.
·
Provides follow-up evaluations on
students as required.
·
Recommends corrective action where
problems are identified.
·
Records immunizations, health
findings, and other relevant health data.
·
Perform any other duties as assigned
to him/her by the Principal.
Procurement Officer
Qualifications
·
Bachelor degree in procurement and
supply management.
·
Member of professional body CPSP (K).
·
Member of KISM.
·
Computer literacy.
·
At least 3 years’ experience in a
similar position.
·
Minimum of 35 years.
·
Demonstrate high integrity.
Responsibilities
·
Ensure all procurement follows the
Public Procurement and Disposal Act 2015
·
Ensure timely advertisement for
tender for annual supplies.
·
Co-ordinate the activities of the
Central Stores which include ordering, receiving, issuing and recording of materials
in ledgers
·
Prepare schedules of goods received
& issued out.
·
Maintain stock ledgers of all
departments both permanent & consumable stores.
·
Ensure materials are procured on
time.
·
Ensure goods are inspected by
inspection committee before they are accepted.
·
Source cheaper but reliable sources
of supply for high usage value items using the procurement procedure.
·
Act as the Secretary to the tender
committee.
·
Recommend to the disposal committee
of obsolete items.
·
Prepare procurement schedules for
goods to be purchased.
·
Seek quotations from pre-qualified
suppliers for goods or services to be procured prepare LPOs, LSO and submit for
approval.
·
Maintain all the procurement records
made in the institute for goods & services.
·
Co-ordinate stock-taking process with
all the departments.
·
Advise the principal and finance
officer on all procurement issues.
·
Ensure safety of all records of the
stores.
·
Perform any other duty delegated by
the Principal.
