Reporting to the Visual & Syndications Editor, the Photographers will be responsible for capturing news, feature and sports pictures for Nation Media Group’s platforms and for the company’s picture archives.

Responsibilities
·         Going out for assignments to take newsworthy and creative photographs;
·         Getting briefs and debriefs from the Visual & Syndications Editor and News Editors;
·         Writing captions for the pictures taken;
·         Working within set deadlines.
Qualifications
·         Diploma in Press Photography from a recognized institution.
·         One (1) year of relevant experience;
·         Technical skills;

Innovation & Development Editor

Reporting to the Group Editorial Director, the job holder will be responsible for building a world class multimedia newsroom with skills, structures and work processes to generate and produce content for new media and legacy platforms.
Responsibilities
·         Reviewing newsroom processes, formulating and implementing measures to achieve effective integration;
·         Identifying journalism and digital skills needs;
·         Designing and implementing a training program to respond to the needs of a vibrant multimedia newsroom;
·         Generating ideas for innovative and monetisable digital products;
·         Identifying resources and resource persons to implement training programs;
·         Reviewing products to identify areas of improvement and ensure remedial actions;
·         Introducing and managing a program for induction, on the job training and mentorship for Editorial staff
·         Managing the media lab program and liaising with Aga Khan University Graduate School of Media and Communication, among other academic institutions.
Qualifications

Area Business Partner

Opportunity
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Area Business Partner will be responsible for maximising newspaper sales, accurately setting orders, ensuring close customer contact and feedback from the distribution area as well as managing distribution bulks.
Responsibilities
·         Achieving revenue and volume budgets;
·         Managing Returns /unsold copies;
·         Organising and driving the circulation operations through field sales visits to vendors and agents in order to maximise on opportunities for copy sales;
·         Ensuring efficient management of the value chain, route-to-market and bulk offices;
·         Identifying potential sales outlets and liaising with NCD for correct deliveries and route optimisation;
·         Reviewing weekly payments with the distributor and other clients within the area of jurisdiction, collecting payment cheques on due dates and ensuring that no debt is accrued at all times;
·         Organising client relationship programme in liaison with the Commercial Manager, the distributor, agents and vendors;
·         Managing and coordinating the Territory Sales Executives (TSEs) and Merchandisers.
·         Delivering new opportunities through Vendors, Agents, Distributors and Corporates.
·         Liaising with the Distributors in the area of jurisdiction to ensure compliance with distributorship contracts.
·         Designing strategies to ensure achievement of the desired Market share in the respective territory.
Qualifications
·         Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a business related field;
·         At least 4 years’ experience in FMCG environment;
·         Ability to write complex reports

Territory Sales Executive

Reporting to the Area Business Partners, the Territory Sales Executive will work with the Circulation team to achieve the set targets.
Responsibilities
