Job Purpose
Reporting to Officer FOSA, the job
holder is responsible for managing the till to pay and receive cash from member
contributions for either deposits or loan repayments and effectively handle
customer transactions, delivering excellent client service and maximizing
client solutions.
Roles
·
Receive cheques and cash for deposit
to various accounts, verify amounts, examine cheques for proper endorsement,
and enter deposits into the core banking system.
·
Cash cheques and process withdrawals;
pay out money after verification of signatures and member balances.
·
Receive cash, loan repayments and
other payments and ensure accuracy when posting.
·
Paying members against proper
documentation.
·
Updating member accounts accurately.
·
Attending to member’s enquiries
promptly.
·
Reconciliation of cash transactions
on a daily basis.
·
Ensuring cheques and cash are banked
and input into the system.
·
Maintain and update treasury
register.
·
Promote the Sacco’s products and
handle queries raised at the counter.
·
Prepare teller reconciliation report.
·
Return the balance of cash to the Treasury
before close of day’s business.
·
Promote, explain issues and
cross-sell of other SACCO services and products.
·
Place holds on accounts for
uncollected funds.
·
Balance cash till at the end of
business, compare total amounts to computer generated balance sheet and verify
to resolve discrepancies.
·
Report any discrepancy to the
supervisor as necessary

Diploma in Business related course,

JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Manager, Internal
Audit, the job holder will assist the Sacco’s Internal Auditor in ensuring
compliance with standards and regulatory policy requirements in the execution
of its operations.

Roles
Reporting to the Chief Principal
Officer, the job holder will be responsible for recruitment, promotion, member
assessment, supervision and monitoring of members with the intention of
gradually growing and sustaining a healthy portfolio, an optimum number of
members and groups.

Be responsible for the implementation
of the Micro – credit programs and policies.
·
Conduct market survey before
initiating any program in a new area.
·
Conduct awareness creation and
mobilization of members and trainings.
·
Assess and select viable groups using
the laid down criteria.
·
Train members on Society’s lending
procedures and requirements (credit and groups management).
·
Mobilization of savings among members
and ensure loan applications are properly filled.
·
Ensure loan appraisal and approval
are done following set criteria and conditions.
·
Liaise with Government ministries and
other line agencies in order to facilitate Society with activities in area of
operations.
·
Maintenance and growth of a healthy
credit portfolio through prudent loan administration, management and compliance
with policies, procedures and best practice.

Preparation and presentation of
comprehensive, timely & reliable reports to provide information, aid in decision
making and gauge performance
·
Support the development and usage of
microcredit services in designated areas, identified by the SACCO.
·
Ensure implementation of the training
curriculum for microcredit groups and individuals.
·
Manage the analysis of applicants’
financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of
granting loans.
·
Explain to members the different
types of loans and credit products that are available, as well as the terms and
conditions.
·
Recommend loan applications to
management for approval.
·
Meet with applicants to obtain
information on loan applications and to answer questions/clarifications about
the process.
·
Obtain and compile copies of loan
applicants’ credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial
information.
Qualifications
·
Diploma in Micro Finance/Micro-Credit
or Diploma in Cooperative Management.
·
Possession of CPA I will be an added
advantage.
·
A minimum of two years working
experience in Micro –credit environment.
·
Computer literacy.
·
Good communication skills.

Roles
Reporting to the Principal Officer
Credit, the job holder will ensure that loan recoveries are implemented on time,
following up on loans in arrears and communicating with the members and
guarantors to ensure that loan payments are implemented effectively.

Ensuring new loans submitted for
recovery are deducted timely.
·
Monitoring and rehabilitating
delinquent accounts and maximizing recoveries from written off accounts.
·
Put in place mechanisms of managing
arrears and defaulted loans to ensure healthy portfolio at all times.
·
Monitor and send notices to
delinquent members and make prompt follow ups on the same.
·
Ensure SACCO debts are recovered
timely and efficiently.
·
Coordinate daily execution of debt
follow up by phone, SMS, mail and visits.
·
Negotiate repayment plans with
delinquent cases (members).
·
Address any member complaints
conclusively within the stipulated time arising out of interaction with the
defaulters.
·
Maintain an updated database of all
assigned accounts and collections with specific dates.
·
Submit detailed reports to the
Principal Officer Credit on a weekly basis accounting for impact of his/her
activities on general Loan Book.

administrative support services of the SACCO namely: office services, working
