They are seeking to recruit a motivated and self-driven professional to fill in the following position:
Reporting to the Chief Executive
Officer, the Group Head of Investments is responsible for overseeing all
investments as well as investment managers of the company as per the long term
strategic investment plan.

Principal Accountabilities:

Formulating, evaluating, recommending
and implementing an investment policy and proposing ongoing changes where
necessary
·
Monitoring and recommending asset
allocation of investment assets and upon Board approval implement the plan
·
Liaising with internal and external
stakeholders with regard to investments and investment opportunities
·
Identifying potential strategic
commercial real estate investment trends and opportunities
·
Creating and maintaining a team of
professionals (internal or external) to originate, analyses, finance, close,
manage and sell real estate investments
·
Developing strategies to deliver on
optimization of company’s asset portfolio for wealth maximization by analyzing,
recommending and implementing a balanced asset allocation plan
·
Developing, evaluating, implementing
and monitor performance benchmarks, risk characteristics and performance
attribution analysis for the asset classes and individual managers where
applicable.
·
Leading financial planning,
underwriting and due diligence activities for the company
·
Leading in capital raising,
investment restructuring, acquisitions, investment negotiations and all other
investment initiatives
·
Ensuring ongoing legal and statutory
compliance of investments while advising the company on relevant legislative
changes that impact the business
·
Producing detailed financial reports
as required by management and the Board of directors
Key Skills and Qualifications:
·
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance,
Accounting, and Economics from a recognized university augmented by Master’s
degree in Finance, Economic, and Real Estate
·
CFA Qualifications are an added
advantage
·
10 years’ work experience in a
leading consulting firm, investment company or investment bank with proven
experience in managing people, programs and processes as well as a strong
proficiency in Fixed Income and equity investments
·
Thorough understanding of Investment
Management & Strategy, Financial Analysis, Asset Selection and Allocation,
Corporate finance, M&A and Portfolio Management
·

Real Estate
General Manager
The Real Estate General Manager will
be responsible for driving revenue generation and developing the real estate
company’s strategic goals.
Principal
Accountabilities:

Driving business growth and revenue
generation in the real estate portfolio
·
Developing strategic goals which will
help make a significant impact on growth of the company
·
Implementing financial and
operational initiatives, ensuring operational costs are kept to a minimum
·
Ensuring alignment of the
department’s policies and objectives in line with the broad corporate policies
and procedures and the group’s policies and procedures
·
Identifying key business
opportunities so as to enhance financial performance – maximize value
·
Inspecting facilities and negotiating
contracts with stakeholders (tenants, insurers, suppliers, banks, clients etc.)
·
Fine tuning operational methods for
the departments while improving the overall efficiency of the departments
·
Developing training calendar and
training methods which will determine information on various strategic action
plans and reviews for the departments
·
Supervising and managing the team,
ensuring that they adhere to the company policies and procedures
·
Preparing operational reports for the
board
·
Ensuring compliance with the
regulatory and governing bodies – e.g. county councils, survey bodies,
valuation bodies and advising on changes in the regulations
·
Implementing necessary checks and
balance to mitigate operational risks across all departments and to ensure the
best interest of the company
·
Managing and implementing new IT and
Technical systems and software’s which can help improve the efficiency of the
business by reducing the turnaround time to deliver business
Key Skills and
Qualifications:
·
Degree in Business, Land Economics,
Real Estate, Survey or any other related field
·
Post certifications is a plus
preferably in Marketing, Real Estate Finance, Environmental Studies
·
At least 8 experience years in a Real
Estate or Property Development Company
·
Registered by any of the following
bodies: Institute of Surveyors of Kenya, Estate Agents Registration Board,
Valuers Registration Board or any other relevant and recognized professional
body.
·
Must possess strong entrepreneurial
skills with understanding of revenue generation
