Roles

Reporting to Accountant I, the job holder will be responsible for:
·         Preparing and verifying vouchers in accordance with laid down rules and regulations;

·         Maintaining imprest ledger;
·         Assisting in preparation of management reports and records;
·         Dispatching of customer statements;
·         Receiving, authenticating and posting cheques and banking slips.

Requirements

·         Have KATC Final and three (3) years’ experience
·         Certified Public Accountant (CPA I)
·         Be Proficiency in computer applications.
·         Demonstrate professional competence and organization ability.


Human Resource Assistant
(Grade 7) HRA/DHRA/01/2018– 1 Post

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to Senior Human Resource Officer, the job holder will be responsible for:
·         Drafting routine correspondences;
·         controlling and verifying staff establishment;
·         Sorting, filing and dispatching mails and other correspondence documents;
·         Processing of payroll.
·         Maintaining and managing staff records and personal files
·         Updating the staff complement,

Requirements

·         Have a Diploma in Human Resource Management/Personnel Management/Business Administration/ Industrial Relations or CPS I;
·         Have at least Three (3) years relevant work experience;
·         Be Proficient in Computer Applications.


Records Management Assistant
(Grade 6) – HRA/DHRA/02/2018- 1 Post

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to Senior Records management Assistant, the job holder will be responsible for:
·         Receiving, opening, sorting, recording and dispatching mails;
·         Appropriate filing of letters;
·         Entering of information in the file movement registers;
·         Cross referencing of correspondences before filling;
·         Sorting documents for archiving and disposal;
·         Filling and ensuring delivery of letters to appropriately action officers;
·         Noting of pending correspondences and bring-ups to ensure appropriate action is taken;

Key Requirements

·         Have a Certificate in Records/Information Management, Library/Information Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
·         Have at least two (2) years’ experience in records management;
·         Be Proficient in computer applications.


Internal Auditor
(Grade 8) -HRA/IA/02/2018 -1 post

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Internal Auditor, the job holder will be responsible for:
·         Post-audit of payment documents to confirm compliance with set internal controls;
·         reviewing of internal control systems and reporting on any weakness;
·         undertaking specific audit assignments and preparing detailed audit observation reports;
·         checking on budgetary controls to ensure compliance with the set budget and work plans;
·         checking on internal controls on levy collection to advice on deviation in approved levels;
·         confirming that the Authority’s assets, plant and equipment, supplies, stores are appropriately recorded and the registers maintained;
·         carrying out periodic risk reviews;
·         implementing audit programs, analyze outcomes and prepare report on required changes;

Requirements

·         Have a Bachelor’s Degree.
·         Possess a CPA II or its equivalent from a recognized Institution;
·         Have at least two (2) year’s work experience in internal audit;
·         Be Proficient in computerized Accounting/Audit packages.


Senior Internal Auditor
(Grade 10) -HRA/IA/01/2018 -1 post

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager Internal Auditor, the job holder will be responsible for:
·         Undertaking special audit investigations as may be required from time to time;
·         Facilitation of risk management exercises and ensures implementation of risk management frame work;

·         Interpretation of Authority’s policies for sound audit planning;
·         Coordinating responses to management letters from the external auditors in liaison with the Manager, Internal Audit;
·         Follow up on the implementation of Public Investment Committee (PIC) recommendations.

Requirements

·         Have a Bachelor’s Degree and CPA Final/CIA Final;
·         Have at least Five (5) years’ experience in Internal Audit;
·         Be Proficient in Financial Audit Computerized packages.
·         Be a member of a relevant professional body


Assistant Industrial Training Levy Inspector
Grade 7) HRA/DFLA/03/2018– 1 Posts

Responsibilities

Reporting to Industrial Training Levy Inspector I, the job holder will be responsible for:
·         Assessing eligibility of registration of employers;
·         Registration of employers;
·         Informing employers on operation of training schemes;
·         Maintaining register for registered contributors;
·         Verifying levy payment records.

Key Requirements

·         Diploma in Law, Industrial Relations, Labour Management, Marketing or any other related field,
·         CPA/CPS part II, CIPS level IV or an equivalent
·         Be Proficient in computer applications


Senior Industrial Training Levy Inspector
(Grade 10) HRA/DFLA/01/2018– 1 Posts
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to Manager Levy Administration, the job holder will be responsible for:
·         Sensitizing and training employers;
·         Collecting of levy;
·         Advising on Industrial Training Levy Status of employers;
·         Inspecting Industrial Training Levy records;
·         Advice on reimbursement and recovery of penalties;
·         Coaching and mentoring Industrial Training Levy staff ;
·         Liaising with Finance department to ensure posting of levy payment;
·         Attend court /alternative dispute resolution mechanisms when necessary.

Requirements

·         Be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social/Pure Sciences;
·         Have Diploma in Law, Industrial Relations, Labour Management or any other related field;
·         Be a registered member of a recognized professional body;
·         Have at least five (5) years’ experience in Levy administration;
·         Have attended a management course of not less than 4 weeks from a recognized institution;
·         Have an understanding of development and presentation of levy administration activities.
·         Have proficiency in computer application;
·         Have a good understanding of the dynamics of Industrial Training;


Industrial Training Levy Inspector
Industrial Training Levy Inspector I
(Grade 9) HRA/DFLA/02/2018– 2 Posts

Responsibilities

Reporting to Senior Industrial Training Levy Inspector, the job holder will be responsible for:
·         Drafting demand letters;
·         Registration of levy contributors;
·         Updating records relating to levy payments;
·         Updating data on registration and deregistration of employers;
·         Verify registration status of employers;
·         Carrying out investigation on levy matters;
·         Registration of levy contributors.

Key Requirements

·         Be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social/Pure Sciences;
·         Have Diploma in Law, Industrial Relations, Labour Management or any other related field;
·         Have at least three (3) years’ experience in Levy Administration;
·         Attended a supervisory skills course not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution;
·         Have a good understanding of the dynamics of Industrial Training;
·         Have proficiency in computer application;
·         Must be a member of a relevant professional body.
