Overall Purpose
Responsibilities

Communications Officer
The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)

listed securities. In line with this mandate, the NSE is seeking to recruit a
highly competent individual to fill the position of Communications Officer. For
this position, the NSE is seeking to recruit on a fixed term contract of twelve
(12) months
Overall Purpose
Handles public relations related
issues in the NSE and ensures that all the parties involved in the business are
kept informed and there is a positive relationship between the company and its
customers
Responsibilities
·
Facilitate the development and
execution of communication strategies for the NSE marketing campaigns, public
relations, sponsorships and events;

Administer and update the NSE
website; including the production of the NSE e-newsletter;

Update all the digital platforms of
the NSE including all social media assets and the NSE website;

Event Management through organizing
venues, equipment and services for NSE functions and events while enhancing NSE
Brand visibility through various branding opportunities;

Maintain close contacts with media
including updating the media database, media library and carrying out the media
monitoring function; in addition to being the focal point in the execution of

as media advisories, press releases, speeches; and organizes interviews in

Corporate Finance Analyst

highly competent individual to fill the position of Corporate Finance Analyst
Overall Purpose
The Corporate Finance Analyst will be
responsible for actively seeking new listings. He/ she will market the value
add of NSE products, helping the Exchange to take advantage of new growth
opportunities. Additionally, he/ she will be actively involved in maintaining
relationships with strategic partners such as sponsors, institutional investors
and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

Information Security Manager

Manager
Overall Purpose
The role is responsible for planning,
development and delivery of a comprehensive information security and privacy
program for the NSE.
This role also serves as a Technical
Advisor to the NSE and is process owner on all areas of information systems
security.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
·
Work with key IT roles, data
custodians and relevant stakeholders in the development/ enhancement of an
InfoSec and infrastructure assurance policy;
·
Champion development, enforcement and
communication of InfoSec policies, standards and procedures;
·
Lead the design and implementation of
a layered information security architecture covering perimeter to end point;
·
Proactively ensuring that the InfoSec
architectures at all stages of their life cycle comply with policy and
regulatory requirements, and that risks due to disruption of operations,
unauthorized modification of data, destruction of computer resources and
compromise or loss of information resources are minimized;
·
Coordinate the development and
delivery of an education and training program on InfoSec and privacy matters
for employees and other authorised users so as to ensure compliance;
·
Develop and implement an Incident
Reporting and Response system to address any security breaches, respond to
policy violations or complaints from external parties;
·
Lead the implementation and testing
of NSE’s recovery and business continuity plan;

Maintain ongoing knowledge of
methodologies and implements best practices in InfoSec management;

Recommends and champions courses of
action and policies that allow NSE to securely meet its organizational goals;

Develop and implement an ongoing risk
assessment program targeting information security and privacy matters,
including regular assessment and reporting on risk and information security
posture;

Lead the preparation of RFPs, bid
proposals and other documentation related to acquisition of information
security infrastructure as well as negotiations with vendors, outsourcers and
contractors to secure relevant products and services;

enforce InfoSec best practice standards in line with globally accepted
information security frameworks; and

Qualifications

Overall Purpose
This role works with the Business
Systems Manager and is responsible for managing the technical and functional
operations, maintenance and support of NSEs internal and external business
systems through installing, configuring, operating and provisioning business
applications in line with business requirements.
The role also supports service
delivery function with regard to incident resolution and change management
services.
Responsibilities

Participate in the examination of
user requirements and determination or development of appropriate solutions to
meet those requirements.

Surveillance Officer

highly competent individual to fill the position of Officer, Surveillance
Overall Purpose
The selected candidate will be
responsible for conducting market surveillance on a broad range of listed
securities with a view to maintain a fair, efficient and transparent market.
Responsibilities
·
Carry out real time surveillance of
listed securities and provide an early warning alert on market irregularity
detected;
·
Examine transactions showing
irregular movements based on day-to-day surveillance of market movements and
information obtained from various sources including public and undisclosed
information affecting a listed security;
·
Monitor trading, order matching and
ensure that stockbrokers/ ATS operators comply with the NSE Trading Rules;
·
Monitor and review print and
electronic media reports and other relevant sources of information to identify
securities requiring detailed analysis and investigation;
·
Identify exceptions to usual patterns
of dealing and recommend further investigations against market participants
involved in dubious deals in violation of NSE and CMA laws, rules and
regulations;

Identify people and early warning
signs of unlawful conduct to prevent infractions and protect investors;

Monitor and review both manual and
electronic newspaper reports, magazines, journals bulletin boards and other
relevant information sources to obtain a list of stocks that have drawn major

Undertake financial analysis of
financial statements submitted to the Exchange by listed companies and trading
participants; and

Assist in monitoring, scrutinize and
