ideal candidate for the following position:-
Head of Nursing
Services
Reporting to the Chief Executive
Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall
leadership and direction to Nursing Services.
As a member of the Senior Leadership
Team, s/he will lead and facilitate the provision of excellent patient centered
nursing care services in collaboration with key clinical and identified support
services to enhance and uphold the institution vision and mission.
Job Summary
·
Providing leadership in implementing
Nursing and Professional Practice standards for nurses
·
Participating in the development of
the overall strategic plan for the institution and linking the same to the
strategic plan for nursing division
·
Creating and implementing appropriate
professional practice structures for nursing staff with appropriate monitoring
indicators to provide oversight of nursing clinical quality in collaboration
with the Medical Director
·
Implementing the strategic plan by
setting realistic service goals and standardising approaches and processes in
the department , including admission and discharge practices, bed utilization
and documentation
·
Fostering multidisciplinary
collaboration to ensure optimal patient care
·
Developing nursing budget and
ensuring budget control
·
Communicate and interpret policies
and procedures to nursing staff and monitor staff best practice and
implementation
·
Evaluate the work performance of all
nursing personnel, assist in the determination of training and development
needs of the department and implement discipline according to operational
policies
·
Actively participate in quality
initiative programmes including JCIA and ISO
Required
qualifications, attributes and experience
·
Must have a Bachelor of Science in
Nursing either from a local or international institution recognized by the
Nursing Council of Kenya
·
A Master of Science in Nursing either
from a local or international institution recognized by the Nursing Council of
Kenya will be an added advantage
·
Must have a KRN/KRM/KRCHN Diploma recognized
by the Nursing Council of Kenya
·
Must have a valid registration and
licensure with the Nursing Council of Kenya
·
S/he will have a minimum of eight (8)
years working experience; five (5) of which should be current and in a busy
Hospital setup with hands on experience in matters relating to Nursing
·
S/he must demonstrate understanding
of nursing education and quality initiatives not limited to JCIA and ISO
·
S/he should have strong leadership,
people management, negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to build
relationships and encourage consensus, partnering and networking at all levels.
·
In addition s/he should be a
strategic thinker with a proven capability of quickly assessing complex
situations and generate astute and practical solutions.
Resident General
Physician
Job
Summary: Reporting to the Head of the
department, the Resident Physician will be responsible for effective management
and care of patients with the aim of ensuring optimal delivery of quality
patient care and actively participate in quality improvement and provision of
medical education services.
Required
qualifications, attributes and experience

Possession of a Degree of Medicine
and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) plus Master of Medicine (M.Med) in Internal
Medicine
·
Over two years post qualification
experience
·
An added specialty will be an added
advantage
·
Certification in ACLS and ATLS will
be an added advantage
·
Strong interpersonal skills,
including the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, and to
work flexibly and independently with multiple reporting relationships.
·
Well versed in the required
discipline, the individual should also be a team player and computer literate
Clinical
Psychologist
Role: Reporting to the Medical Director, the role shall be responsible
for conducting psychological assessments and delivering interventions for
patients and staff.
These shall include standardized
assessments of psychological health and history, providing referrals and
support as required and as guided by the hospital polices and regulations.
Job Summary
·
Take active leadership role in the
development and implementation of the Neuro Science programme.
·
Develop intervention programs and
activities that improve psychological care.
·
Promote efficiency and high standards
of psychological care to Patients and staff
·
Carry out psychological and
psychosocial assessments at the main hospital site and any other Outreach
Centres as may be directed.
·
Co-ordinate and implement all
project-related psychosocial services.
·
Provide referrals for psychiatric and
other medical care as appropriate.
·
Participate in the professional
training of staff to ensure highest standards of healthcare.
·
Ensure Quality Assurance and Control
both in data collection and Good Clinical Practices.
·
Supervision of staff and handling
internal clinic processes.
·
Any other duties as may be assigned.
Required
qualifications, attributes and experience
·
Must have a recognized Bachelor’s
degree in Clinical Psychology either from a local or international institution.
·
Master’s degree in clinical
psychology from a local or international institution will be an added advantage
·
Be a member of a professional body
·
Have done significant work in
clinical psychology covering key aspects of the profession
·
Excellent verbal communication skills
in Kiswahili and English.
·
Demonstrated excellence in
psychosocial care.
·
Demonstrated abilities in leadership,
problem-solving, and project coordination.
·
A strategic thinker with a proven
capability of quickly assessing complex situations and generate intelligent and
practical solutions.

Family Physician
Job Summary
·
Reporting to the Medical Director,
the Family Physician will be responsible for effective management and care of
patients with the aim of ensuring optimal delivery of quality patient care and
actively participate in quality improvement and provision of medical education
services.
·
Provide comprehensive medical
services for members of family, regardless of age, sex on continuing basis
·
Elicits and records information about
patients medical history
·
Orders or executes various tests,
analyses and diagnostic images to provide information on patients condition
·
Analyses reports and diagnoses
condition of patient
·
Promotes health by analyzing patients
concerning hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease
·
Provides prenatal care to pregnant
women, delivers babies and postnatal care to mothers and infants
·
Performs surgical procedures
commensurate with surgical competencies
·
Refers patients to medical
specialists for consultant services whenever necessary for patient’s wellbeing
Responsibilities:
·
Works continually to assure
deliverance of quality clinical care in a safe, efficient, effective, competent
and effective manner

Prepare records and reports as
required in support of services rendered in accordance with established
procedures
·
Attend and participate in patient
care reports, patient care conferences, team conferences, professional staff
conferences and other appropriate professional activities
Required
