Location: Nairobi
Eligibility: Open to
Kenyan/Somali Citizens Residing in Nairobi – Eastleigh.
It enables researchers to conduct rigorous
laboratory-based studies in behavioural economics in a developing country and
applying the outcomes of research to real-world problems.
Key Requirements:
Required
·
Qualitative,
quantitative, and research skills.
·
Experience
working in large scale research and data collection projects in Kenya.
·
Excellent
management and organizational skills.
·
Flexible,
self-motivating, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently and a team player.
·
Interest
and experience working in a fast-paced working environment.
·
Fluency
and excellent communication and writing skills with a mastery of Swahili and
Somalia.
·
Ability
to timely report on project activities.
·
High
level of ethics and commitment to human subject protection in research.
·
Able
to work during the weekend.
·
Currently
living in East Leigh or its environs.
Desired
·
Bachelors’
degree or college diploma in social sciences, economic, development studies
and/or business administration
·
Past
experience in qualitative data collection.
·
Experience
using computer assisted interviewing or ODK is a plus
·
Have
the following qualities: are diligent and organized, have a positive attitude,
are active and respectful listeners and have strong interpersonal skills
General Field Officer Duties
·
Administer
telephone surveys appropriately
·
Coordinating
with team members on lab-based activities.
·
Collect
data to the highest degree in accordance to the data collection protocols.
·
Maintain
the confidentiality and dignity of all project participants and address and
escalate any issues of human subject’s violations.
·
Translations
and back-translations
·
Assist
with lab sessions
·
Timely
completion of work assigned.
·
Provide
detailed notes on data collection activities, promptly raising issues and
concerns to Senior Field Officers and Project Leads.
·
Perform
any other duty as may be assigned by the project supervisor.
Duration: Successful
candidates will be hired for a duration of about 1 month renewable.
