Job Title: Business Head-Africa
Location: Nairobi
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

 The Business Development Head will play a vital role in planning and delivering new Records & Document Management Services clients through a variety of strategies to support the growth and expansion of SoftAge Adept International Ltd. 

Role includes both identifying revenue generating opportunities for SoftAge as well as managing key client relationships in line with softAge Mission and Vision. 

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support the overall process of management and corporate decision making to ensure the organization maximizes its short, medium and long term profitability.
  • Liaise with executive heads on the implementation of the company’s strategic and operational plans.
  • Develop, review and report on the business development divison’s strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the team.
  • Impact the profitability of the company through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results.
  • Develop and lead the business development team in sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities.
  • Ensure efficient and effective marketing, advertising and promotional planning through the marketing department.
  • Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in its market and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory/official bodies.
  • Build and lead an effective and cohesive management team.
Persons Specification
Skills / Knowledge / Experience:

  • MBA with specialization in Marketing (not compulsory if work experience shows adequate marketing experience),
  • Approximately 8-9 years of experience in multifarious domains like Operations, sales and marketing, business setup and implementation (added advantage if experience in Records Management service/product or in a technology-based field),
  • Experience in conducting market research activities,
  • Basic knowledge of key sectors like telecom, IT, Banking, Insurance, Government, Manufacturing
  • Extensive experience of developing and delivering on marketing strategies to meet company objectives
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills;
  • Strong initiative skills, working both independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent skills in teamwork, leadership and communication;
  • Aggressive strategist with proven ability to close the deals via strong and persuasive closing skills;
  • Demonstrated success in business to business products, technical sales or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated success in building trust and maintaining long-term relationships;
  • Ability to collect and analyze data, draws conclusions, and make actionable recommendations.

Work Environment:
  • Adaptability to work flexible hours for special events (i.e. outside normal working hours)
