Category Supply Planner
Purpose
of the job:To consistently provide Master Production Schedule plans aligned
to capacities by resource, which are optimized, feasible and realistic.
You
will also ensure the required service level and optimal stock covers are in
line to company stock cover policy.
Key Responsibilities will be to;
- Analyze
and evaluate the supply plan and net dispatch requirements to satisfy
customer needs taking into account the network complexity and the supply
constraints;
- Plan
and optimize mixed loads taking into account transportation constraints;
- Inventory
Management: Balance the need for product availability versus the need to
minimize costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material
in the right location;
- Exceptions
management: Analyze exceptions, to take business decisions (based on
priorities or after arbitration) and to adjust planning results
accordingly;
- Establish
constrained master production requirements for short and long term and to
follow up production plans;
- Consistently
achieve sustainable Customer Service Level for domestic and Inter-Market
Supply, (IMS) customers within the Working Capital and Freshness
objectives by ensuring that the weekly planning process is executed on
time;
- Establish
stock policies for Finished Goods and periodically review stock level of
the domestic and receiving markets to pro-actively look for solutions in
case of deviations;
- Determine
key issues with volume variance that may impact supply, and highlight to
MPS Planner;
- Ensure
supply plans are realistic and achievable in accordance with the business
planning process;
- Challenge
manufacturing on regular basis to manage lot sizes, cycle times and
R&P inventory levels, to drive optimum FG inventory level;
- Deliver
sustained IMS performance;
Job
Requirements:
The
ideal candidate should possess the following minimum skills and competencies;
- Masters
in Business Administration/ Bachelor of Commerce- Procurement and Supply
Chain Management / BSc. Statistics from a reputable university;
- A
minimum of 5 years working experience in any one of the following areas:
- Supply
planning role coupled with experience in Marketing and Sales or Production
Planning;
- Factory
logistics;
- Demand
Planning;
- OIT
(Operations Improvement Team);
- Prior
experience in customer service will be beneficial;
- Highly
developed in optimizing and managing performance as well as planning
resources and capacity;
- Strong
in result focus and proactive cooperation;
- Strong
analytical, attention to detail and persuasive skills with good
communication and presentation skills;
- Ability
to look at the big picture and facilitate team learning;
- Working
experience and knowledge on MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, especially Pivot
table;
- Experience
in SAP or other Advance Planning Systems;
- Ability
to impact and convince others at all levels within the organization
