Wanda is seeking a dynamic and result oriented individual to Promote Wanda Organic and champion sales of its products by creating awareness, demand and support for Wanda solutions within Nyahururu, Laikipia and Nakuru regions. 

Role Description: Sales and Distribution Supervisor 

Location: Nairobi with frequent travel 

Nature of Work: Full time 

Salary: KES. 60,000- 80,000 

Overview of the Role 
 
Position Reports to: The Managing Director 
 
Duties and Responsibilities
 
1. Communicate to the sales and distribution teams the goals
  • Develop the marketing strategy for Wanda Organic, advise management on key developments in the market and make recommendations to assist in the overall planning strategy.
  • Set annual and monthly sales targets for the sales team in line with the organization’s overall sales targets
  • Championing the Stock & Distribution solution within the business, encourage usage of the solution & assist in identifying best practice.
  • Refine business processes for Stock & Distribution so that they are clearly understood by the distribution officers.
  • Prepare sales volume and profitability budgets for sales taking into account the credit management, debt control, and discounting policies in place.
2. Conduct other marketing activities that support the strategy
  • Carry out a Market analysis and work with the support functions to develop the organization’s annual demand plan including sales forecasts for the different products as well as a resource deployment plan to support achievement of forecasts.
  • Lead the sales team to maximize sales and profitability through satisfaction and retention of customers.
  • Attend to and resolve escalated customer complaints and represent the Organization at senior level within the customer base to ensure its image is maintained and enhanced
  • Development of customer service procedures, policies and standards in line with Wanda Organic’s overall strategy and other relevant requirements
  • Advise clients on the best ways to plant, harvest, and cultivate their plants regardless of the climate either directly or through field officers as needed
  • Advise clients on crop protection products, crop nutrition as well as farm building construction for crop storage
3. Support team technically
  • Recommend the ordering schedule for products after consultation with key sales staff and market analysis
  • Lead the implementation of marketing plans, such as product launch events, promotions and advertising campaigns to help drive sales and market share
  • Ensure the customer relationship management system is constantly updated and maintained and follow up with the sales team to ensure that all leads are effectively and successfully pursued
  • Attend sales meetings as well as participate in trade shows and trade/association conventions; attend occasional social events with manufacturers/key accounts, and industry partners outside of normal business hours to maximise relationship building.
  • Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
  • Support the field operational officers on ways to properly document, organize and capture activity/project progress.
4. Deal with operational issues (process & policy design & implementation)
  • Support the definition and implementation of key project performance indicators as well as monitoring actual performance against set standards throughout the duration of the projects.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and gain insight into their needs as a guideline to offer new or additional products or services
  • Using feedback from clients as well as research on key agricultural and climatic trends in the market, make recommendations on appropriate methods and products to provide to clients to increase the production and quality of crops
  • Attend workshops and technical seminars and in liaison with the human resource department, develop training content that is aligned to the agricultural environment within the regions in which Wanda Organic has presence for both internal staff (field officers and the distribution officers) and farmers
  • Develop periodic reports for internal and external use as and when needed
  • In liaison with the human resource function, develop performance management and employee incentive schemes and other reward and recognition tools to drive employee performance
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics/ Agricultural Entrepreneurship or related qualifications.
  • Preferred professional qualification in Sales and Marketing or Purchasing and supply management
  • At least 7 years demonstrated experience in the Agricultural industry in a similar or related position.

Role Description: Field Sales Officer - Intern 

Location: Nyahururu 

Nature of Work: Full time

Salary: KES. 16,000 

Overview of the Role

Position Reports to: Sales and Distribution Supervisor

Responsibilities Include:
1.    Participating in operational planning activities in the business areas.
2.    Championing the process of customer identification and customer training
3.    Increase the customer base through customer acquisition
4.    Use data collection tools to capture relevant information as per the guidelines
5.    Producing weekly and monthly reports on field activities
Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree and/or a higher Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy or Horticulture.
  • Minimum of 1-2 Years of work Experience in sales and marketing Agricultural products
  • Should have the ability to do presentations and public speaking.
  • Ability to use ride motorbike will be an added advantage.

Telesales and Customer Care Office - Intern
 
Station: Nairobi
 
Salary : 16,000
 
Key Responsibilities and Duties: 
  • Working with the larger sales team and Agronomists; they will be providing support by building strong customer relationships directly by telephone. 
  • Overseeing all the sales and marketing activities by designing and plotting field days with the field agronomists in the designated areas of business interest. 
  • Setting appointments between the client and the field officers and qualifying prospect. 
  • Ensuring that the sales targets are met.
  • Championing and resolving customer concerns and complaints.
  • Providing a weekly sales and activity reports.
Qualifications
  • A minimum diploma in communication/public relations or related courses.
  • Must have excellent communication skills; clear, confident speaking voice
  • Should be friendly with customers; have ability to be creative
  • Highly motivated to sale.
  • Must be persuasive, patient and persistent
  • Minimum Diploma qualification in Sales and Marketing /and or Agronomy
  • Must have knowledge of all Computer application Packages
  • Prior experience in sales and Marketing will be an added advantage
