Grants Analyst Job in Nairobi, Kenya

Wasichana Wote Wasome Project (WWW – ‘Let All Girls Read’) is a DFID funded project that aims to improve school enrolment, retention, attendance and learning outcomes for 81,000 marginalized girls in Kenya. 

The project is being implemented in 500 primary schools and the communities they serve in two contexts: Arid and Semi - Arid Lands (ASALs) and urban slums in eight counties namely: Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale,Tana River,Marsabit, Samburu, Turkana and Nairobi.

Grants Analyst - Nairobi

The project wishes to recruit (1) Grants Analyst in Nairobi. 

The incumbent will report to CfBT’s’ Finance Manager and will be responsible for:
  • Post-award financial management of the GEC grant award to CfBT,
  • Management of project expenditure against budgets
  • Reconciling fiscal information and account balances
  • Providing technical advice among other duties.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • At least 3-5years experience in Grant / Project accounting
  • CPA(K) is an added advantage.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
  • High level of integrity, interpersonal skills, professional responsibility and a demonstration of enthusiasm.
  • Advanced IT skills such as Microsoft Office Package.
