Duties and Responsibilities
These positions are responsible for:
Assisting the Accountant in: -
- Verification of payment vouchers in accordance
with laid down rules and procedure
- General account work, involving book keeping
and routine E-accounting entries
- Determination of aggregate expenditure
- Control of expenditure
- Assisting in budget planning in the accounts
department
Requirement for Appointment
- KCSE mean grade C (plain) in Mathematics
- Bachelor degree in accounting/Finance option
from a recognized university
- At least 3 years working experience in
accounts department in a Public institution
- Must have passed Part II of the Certified
Public Accounts (Kenya) examination
2. Personal Secretary

1 Position
Duties and Responsibilities
- Recording dictation in short hand and
transcribing it in written form.
- Typing form drafts, manuscripts or recording
data from dictation machines processing data.
- Managing of E-Office
- Ensuring security of office records, documents
and equipment.
- Handling telephone calls and appointments
- Operating office equipment, management of
office protocol.
- Managing of office petty cash.
Requirements for Appointment
- A Diploma in Secretarial studies from the
Kenya National Examinations Council or equivalent qualifications from a
recognized institution.
- A Certificate in computer applications from a
recognized institution.
3. Clerical Officer II

2 Positions
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation of indents
- Processing of documents
- Preparation of estimates of expenditure for
general office services
- Ensuring implementation of decisions by the
Assembly
- Safe custody of invoices, receipts and other
records
- Preparation and maintenance of records and
ensuring proper maintenance of filing system.
- Verifying compiled statistical records for
accuracy
- Processing of human resource statistics
- Maintenance of stores, records and equipment
inventory
Requirements for Appointment
- Have passed the proficiency examination for
clerical officers.
- Possess a Diploma in any of the following
disciplines: Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Kenya
Account Technician Certificate (KATC), Kenya Administration and Management
Examination (KAME) or any other approved equivalent qualifications from a
recognized institution.
- Have shown merit and ability as reflected in
work performance and results.
4. Drivers

3 Positions
Duties and responsibilities
- Driving Motor vehicles as authorized.
- Maintenance of work tickets
- Carrying out routine checks on the vehicles,
cooling oil, electrical and brake systems, tyres pressure etc.
- Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of
vehicle systems.
- Ensuring security and safety for the vehicle
- Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle
Requirements for Appointment
- Having attained a mean grade of D+ (plus) in
KCSE or its equivalent
- Served in the grade of driver for a minimum
period of not less than three (3) years or KCSE D+
- A valid driving license free from any current
endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles which the
officer is required to drive.
- Defensive driving certificate from Automobile
Association (AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a
recognized institution.
- Passed the Occupational Test I for drivers
- Demonstrate discipline lifestyle, outstanding
professionalism, competence and integrity in work performance and results.
5. Office Assistant II
KCASB (3)
2 Positions
Duties and responsibilities
- Cleaning of offices, kitchen and entire compound
- Collecting and delivering documents outside
the organization
- Delivering documents within the organization
- Maintain gardens and lawns by weeding,
pruning, trimmi9ng and spraying plants.
Requirements for Appointment
- KCSE certificate with mean grade D or its
equivalent
- Shown merit and ability
- Be in possession of certificate in
housekeeping from a recognized institution
- Ability to multi task and work with minimum
supervision.
