Business Purpose / Objective: An Accountant is responsible for supporting
business growth and management decision making process by providing timely and
accurate information responsible for business accounting & audits, procedures,
systems, documents budgets and reports
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities

- Overseas Credit control
- Makes sure of payment on time to the overseas
suppliers within credit limit
- For any delay in payments to the overseas
suppliers, must effectively communicate to them and report to the Finance
Manager
- Petty Cash Posting
- Responsible for bank posting
- Debtor Management
- Handle the debtor account
- Follow ups on the company debtors.
- Make reports on debtor management to the
finance Manager.
- Bank reconciliations
- Purchase posting
- Creditors Reconciliation
- Data Entry
- Update and maintain accounting journals,
ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g.,
disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).
- Enters data into computer system using defined
computer programs.
- Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.
- Local Buyers and Supplies
- Maintains regular contact with other
departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct
transactions.
- Responsible for the purchases required by
various departments
- Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other
accounting documents or records.
- Reconciles records of local suppliers and
buyers.
- Follow up on local creditors and debtors on
which to make monthly report on findings
- Other related work to internal audit as
assigned by the head of internal audit

Required Qualifications
Preferred Professional Qualification
- Degree or Diploma in Accounts or any related
field
- Certified Public Account ( CPA) or ACCA

- At least 4 years’ experience in the Accounts

Qualification
- ‘O’ levels; C+ and above
