Our client, an engineering firm that
specializes is looking for a HR and Administration Manager.
This job is based in Nairobi and
reports directly to the CEO.
Provide leadership within the
department to ensure high standards of service delivery and trusted with all
administrative responsibilities.
Duties
- Efficiently manage the HR and Administration
systems
- Oversee office petty cash and expenditure and
manage the budget
- Coordinating learning and training activities
- Maintain the condition of the office and
arrange for necessary repairs
- Manage and coordinate licensing and insurance
renewals
- Manage hospitality, cleaning and mail services
- Provide administrative support services to all
departments
- Prepare tender documents
- Review and update health and safety policies
and ensure they are observed
- Arrange travel, meetings and appointments for
senior management
- Order stationery and equipment
- Supervise and monitor the office staff
- May be required to assist with other functions
from time to time
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, management,
organizational and leadership skills
- Demonstrable ability to build cohesive teams
and to achieve goals through team work
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent MS-office skills and Internet
experience
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and
written English)
- Good working ethic with clear personal goals
for career development
- Demonstrable resilience and flexibility in a
demanding and fast past environment
Qualifications
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- Diploma in HR and/or business administration
- At least 5 years’working experience;
- At least 3 years’ experience in HR and
Administration
