Deputy Program Coordinator – Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) Program
 
Impact Research and Development Organization is a registered Kenyan Non-Government Organization with a head office in Kisumu and regional offices in Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Busia, West Pokot, Siaya and Turkana counties of Kenya.

Its principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research interventions and programs that improve the health status of individuals and local communities. 

We are looking for qualified and experienced Deputy Program Coordinator to support our VMMC Program.
 
Job Summary: Deputize the Program Coordinator in overseeing the provision of VMMC services. 

Specifically, she/he will take lead and participate in the design, implementation and monitoring of VMMC activities in selected sub-counties within Busia, West Pokot, Trans Nzoia, and Turkana counties of Kenya.


Duty Location: Eldoret, with frequent visit to implementation sites
 
Reporting to: The Program Coordinator.
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least an Ordinary Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, or Nursing.
  • Registered with the relevant professional body in Kenya;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience coordinating public health programs preferably HIV/AIDS prevention programs; experience in the roll-out of VMMC added advantage;
  • Training and practical experience in providing VMMC services added advantage;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages required.
