Summary of the Position: The position reports to the F N B
Supervisor. The position main purpose is to ensure proper service is rendered
to the guests at all times. Responsible for serving food and beverages in
restaurant efficiently and in a most courteous manner. Carry out all duties in
accordance with tasks and descriptions with reference to established rules and
policies.Location: Nairobi

Responsibilities:
- Serve guests in a friendly and professional
manner to maintain repeat visits.
- Suggests food and beverages ~ to be well
versed with the menu, method of preparation and accompaniments.
- Ensure the guest is being attended to without
delays.
- Take food and beverage orders and serve
products to the
guests.
- Ensure guest invoices are correct and settled
- Transports soiled dishes from dining room to
kitchen and depositing them in proper placing at the Steward area.
- Sets up tables in accordance with Restaurant
policy.
- Maintain crockery and cutlery at all times.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment for
the guests.
- Cleans and removes dishes from the table after
service is completed.
- Stock glasses and silverware where they can be
easily reached during service.
- Follows correct sequence of service outlined
in the Standard Operating Manual.
- Ensure chairs and tables are in a clean and
acceptable condition at all times.
- Replenishes supply of linen and other
Operating equipment.
- Manually load food and beverage items on the
computer system.
- Maintain high levels of personal hygiene.
Maintains excellent grooming standard at all times.
- Maintains cleanliness and mise-en-place level
at working station and service pantry for smooth operation.
- Cleans all spillage during mealtime and at
closing.
- Performs any other duties as may be assigned
by your superior
Job Specification
- Must have a diploma in Food & Beverage
service, Hotel catering management, hotel management or any other
hospitality industry training.
- Certificate with experience may be considered.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in
the hospitality industry.
- Must have working knowledge of health, safety
and sanitation procedures.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail,
discipline, passion and show consistency.
- A keen and inquisitive mind.
- Ability to multi-task, organized, methodical
and punctual.
- Extremely focused on quality and hygiene
- Professional personal presentation.
- Must be committed and of high integrity
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must be Computer literate.
