Reports Directly To:General Manager

A not-for-profit organization with Members all over the country is looking for Finance and Administration Manager to fill the above mentioned post starting 1st January 2015. 

He / She must have the following credentials
General Position Summary:
  • The Position will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company by providing financial & accounting leadership.
  • Ensure that all Administrative and finance-related functions and activities are performed in timely manner and with no disruptions.
  • Provide the respective monthly management reports to the General Manager, including expenditure and other financial information, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Analyze compensation packages, taxation and statutory requirements, and all HR benefits making sure that the organization takes into account the comprehensive financial impact of such obligations and benefits.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement local office policies and procedures for finance and accounting and make sure that all staff are aware and are trained on compliance.
  • Ensure that all procurement of goods and services complies with procurement systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting. (A relevant master’s degree will be an added advantage)
  • Certified Public Accountant of Kenya
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a finance manager or senior accountant.
  • Excellent Administration and people management skills.
  • Excellent experience preparing financial management reports.
  • Good skills in analysis of financial data to provide informative reports to non-finance managers.
  • Strong accounting skills, budgeting skills and experience in managing general ledger, journal entries, payroll, payables and receivables, and balance sheet.
  • Advanced computer user skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
  • Very good experience using various financial accounting software.
  • Strong organizational skills as well as attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills.
