The
Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network is a Non Governmental Christian organization
whose mission is to support churches and church health systems provide and
promote just and compassionate quality pharmaceutical services.
The
organization which is based in Nairobi, Kenya wishes to recruit a suitable
candidate for the post of program assistant.
Key Responsibilities
- Programs: Project management and logistical support for all program related activities.
- Manage and coordinate scheduled reporting to meet institutional donor reporting requirements
- Supporting program development and proposal creation
- Participate as a member of the technical team in activity planning strategy development, proposal development as well as monitoring and evaluation.
- Compliance: Monitor compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations policies, procedures, contracts and other obligations and take corrective action as required.
- Contracts: Prepare contracts with external parties and review and recommend for signing contracts from external parties.
- Coordinate administrative processes and supportive functions, e.g. supervise the office assistant and driver to ensure program implementation and regulations compliance.
- Perform any other duties as instructed by the Executive Director.
- Procurement: Manage relationships with EPN suppliers/vendors and agent. Check procurement information, contracts and LPOs suppliers as required. Monitor supplier performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or any other health related field with knowledge in project management.
- At least 2 years demonstrable experience handling projects or coordinating programs
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and coordination ability
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Microsoft Project is a plus.
- Working language for the job is English but knowledge of French will be an advantage.
