Safety, Health & Environmental Management Officer Job in Kenya

Kinetic Controls Ltd has placed itself in a position of being one of the leading Electrical & Mechanical Contractors and thus undertaking several major projects with Multi-International Organizations.

We are seeking to recruit a results-oriented and proactive team player to fill the position of Safety, Health & Environmental Management Officer Position.

The main purpose of the job is to Develop, Monitor and co-ordinate all Safety, Health and Environmental policies, procedures & activities so as to ensure compliance with all relevant legal, Quality Management System and company requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify emerging issues in Safety, Health and environment Management system.
  • Continuously develop, implement and review safety, health and environment Standards, procedures & Policies
  • Identify health, safety and environmental hazards, investigate root causes and identify corrective and preventative action, and report to the management.
  • Provide training instructions and workshops to all employees on safety, health and environment, with emphasis on continuous improvement.
  • Maintain database of all safety, Health & Environmental incidences and accidents.
  • Conducting inspections and audits including monitoring and tracking of all Kinetic Controls Quality Management issues
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum Diploma in Environmental Science/ Environmental Studies/ Environmental Management/ Environmental Planning.
  • Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health will be added advantage: / NEMA Certification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum Three (3) years progressive work experience, two (2) of which should be in the same position.
  • Very Strong ANALYTICAL and CREATIVITY skills
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude.
  • Proficient in written communications.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate with others.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
