the following vacancy positions, in respect with the quota system.
Senior Accountant
(REF:
EAC/LVBC/HR/12-13/01) – P2 (1 Post) – 5 years renewable once
Main Purpose of the Position
To administer and manage all financial aspects of the Commission including documentation of all receipts and payments, assets and liabilities and safe custody of financial documents
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
in Commerce, Business Administration with specialization in
Finance/Accounting or other related area and a Masters degree in
Finance/Accounting/Business Administration required.
- Work experience
with at least 7 years, preferably in International or Regional
Organization; with at least 3 years at senior level.
Economist/Planning Officer
(REF:
EAC/LVBC/HR/12-13/02) – P2 (1 Post) – 5 years renewable once
Main Purpose of the Position
The LVBC Economist/Planning Officer will be one of the key members of the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation team and will play a key role in the strategic planning and all development aspects of the Commission.
Minimum requirements:
- An advanced
University degree (Masters) in economics, development economics,
macro/micro economics and complex development issues or related field.
- At least 7 years
of progressively responsible experience in initiating; designing and
planning economic development programmes in a busy government or private
sector organisation; at least 3 years should have been at senior level.
Communication and Development Awareness Officer
(REF: EAC/LVBC/HR/12-13/03) – P2 (1 Post) – 5 years renewable once
Main Purpose of the Position
The main purpose of this job is to plan and execute communication and outreach activities at the Lake Victoria Basin Commission.
Minimum requirements:
- A post graduate
degree (Masters) in Journalism, International Relations, Communications or
other related fields.
- A minimum of 7
years of experience in working on communications issues of which 3 years
must be at senior management level.
Lake Victoria Water and Sanitation (Lvwatsan) Program Administrator
(REF:
EAC/LVBC/HR/12-13/04) P1 (1 Post) – 3 years renewable subject to availability of
funds
Main Purpose of the Position
The main purpose of this job is to manage day-to-day operations of the LVWATSAN Program at LVBC.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Business related field such as Business Administration, Bachelor
of Commerce, Economics, Project Management, Public Administration or any
relevant degree.
- Minimum 5 years
relevant working experience, at least 2 of which should be in Donor funded
projects.

Limit
- The candidate
must not be more than 54 years old.
