Finance Manager Job in Kenya

Mumias Out growers Sacco Society Limited is one of the largest rural Saccos in Western Kenya. 

Its core function is to mobilize savings and administer credit to sugarcane farmers and small business communities in the region. 

The society wishes to recruit a competent, qualified and result oriented person to fill the position of the Finance Manager.

Desired Knowledge & Skills:-
The holder of the Finance manager’s position must:-
  • Be of exemplary integrity, honest, professional and confidential,
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, have good personal judgment, proactive, initiative and a team player,
  • Have excellent functional analysis and critical thinking skills.
Key responsibilities
  • Prepare budgets and cash flow projections
  • Facilitate external audits and related financial reporting matters.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and other reports as needed by the board,
  • Prepare monthly liquidity assessment for the society in liason with departmental managers,
  • Recommend on investment of surplus members funds and advise on sources of funds,
  • Over see and co-ordinate financial systems and personnel in accounts and finance department,
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports within the prescribed datelines.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance from a recognized university,
  • Holder of Certified Public Accountants [CPA] qualifications
  • Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya [ICPAK] in good standing,
  • At least 5 years relevant experience at a management level in execution of accounting and finance duties.
  • Computer proficiency in computer application especially in accounting packages and systems.
  • Knowledge of various Sacco software systems will be an added advantage.
