Pursuant
to the County Government Act No.17 of 2012 section 45, the County government of
West Pokot invites applications from highly qualified persons from the Public,
Private and Civil Society for the following advertised positions.
Chief Officers
(10
Post). Job Ref: WPC/05/2013
Duties and responsibilities.
- Shall be
responsible to the Governor through the County Secretary.
- Ensure
efficiency in the management of the County resources within their
respective departments.
- Shall be the
accounting officer within the respective departments.
- Ensure that the
department aligns its services delivery to the priorities and objectives
set out in the county policies and plans.
- Shall be the
authorized officer in respect of the exercise of delegated power.
- Shall be
responsible for the administration of functions executions, appraisals,
monitoring and evaluation of activities within the department.
For
appointment as a member of the county Public Service board, a person
should
- Be a Kenyan
citizen
- Have minimum
qualifications of a Bachelor’s Degree from recognized University.
- Have a working
experience of not less than five (5) years at a managerial level.
- Must be a
professional who adheres to the relevant professional code of conduct,
- Be able to
provide strategic leadership within the county department.
- Be ready to work
for long hours to meet set deadlines without supervision
- Satisfies the
provisions of Chapter six of the Kenya constitution 2010.
- Understand the
diversity within the county.
N.B.
A Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
Note
Remuneration for this position will be determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
Vast experience in public sector management will be an added advantage
