Position: Sales & Marketing Executive
Location: Mombasa
Our client, one of the leading Container Freight Stations (CFS)
situated within Mombasa Island is looking to recruit a Sales and Marketing
Executive.
Main Duties
- To
Identify, qualify and secure business opportunities by cultivating and
maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships with current and
potential clients.
- Actively
research potential clients and pursue new business relationships.
- Maintain
existing business relationships through continuous client updates on
status of their cargo with us, client follow up, responding to client
inquiries and resolving problems on their behalf.
- Monitoring
competitor activity and performance/Gathering market and customer
information.
- Listening
to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale.
- Maintaining
and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via
telephone calls and emails.
- Cold
calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new
business.
- Responding
to incoming emails and phone enquiries.
- Acting
as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets.
- Negotiating
the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
- Representing
the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
- Creating
detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process
that is largely dictated by the prospective customer.
- Recording
sales and order information and sending copies to the sales manager, or
entering into a shared drive for the department.
- Reviewing
your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
- Making
accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
as approved by line manager.
Qualifications:
- At
least a diploma in sales and marketing or relevant field
- 2-3
years sales experience on similar industry
- Excellent
communication skills.
- Must
be a team player
