Madaktari Health East Africa is looking for Community Outreach Interns for our community-based
health projects
Madaktari Health East Africa is a limited health company
offering quality, safe and affordable health services to the low-income
population in Nairobi. As part of our community-based partnerships, we work
with women's groups and community churches in Nairobi Eastlands to organize
health outreaches as a way of increasing access to our health services.
As an intern you will gain new skills, meet new people and use
your experiences to inspire social action for health.
You don't need years of experience, we are looking for interns
who are committed, keen, and able to work with others and open to learning.
Your tasks would typically involve:
- identifying
community women groups and churches to partner with;
- helping
to raise public awareness on cervical cancer;
- organizing
community outreaches in churches for cervical cancer screening;
- networking
to build community contacts;
- developing
and agreeing to strategies;
- liaising
with interested groups and individuals for outreaches;
This position is unpaid, but MADAKTARI HEALTH EAST AFRICA can
provide a small stipend to cater for daily expenses.
