Senior Management

These are senior management positions with the following competencies required: Strong Risk Awareness; Management of Budgeting Process; Strategic Thinking Skills; Leadership Skills / People Management; Financial Planning; Management Planning; Management and Reporting Skills; and Partnering & Consultative Skills.
Candidates should be degree holders in any of the following fields: Business, Commerce, Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Hospitality Management, Information Technology (i.e. ICT), Human Resources,
Law and have a proven track record of a minimum of 8 years in business of which five should be in a leadership position.
A Masters degree as well as experience in the hospitality industry will be an added advantage.

Middle Management

These are middle management operational (supervision and control) positions and the following competencies are required: Budget Execution & Financial Management; Decisions on the Content of Foods & Service; Sales and Marketing; Human Resource and Training Management; Administrative Management; Field Management; Materials Management; and Crisis Prevention & Management. 

Certification at a recognized hospitality training institution is mandatory with a minimum of ‘B’ at KCSE level. Kenya Utalii College graduates and degree holders will have an added advantage. 

Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in a 3-Star (or above) hotel.

Supervisory / Operational Staff

All Jacaranda Hotels
F&B Supervisors (4) - Should hold a certificate in F&B service advance with a minimum of two years Supervisory experience in a busy 4 Star (or above) hotel.
Waiters (10) - A certificate in F&B service from a recognized institution with minimum of one year experience in the same position is required.
Barmen (5) - A certificate in F&B Service with a minimum of 1 year experience as a Bartender in a 4-star hotel or club/bar.
Chief Steward (1) – HACCP certification and 5 yrs experience in similar or Asst position.
Cashiers (5) – conversant with Micros or similar POS system with at least 1 year experience
Maintenance Supervisors (3) – Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years experience.
Front Office Agents (4) - Certificate in front office operations from recognized hotel school. 1 year experience from a 4 Star (or above) hotel. Excellent communication skills and working knowledge of Opera is required.
These are operational positions and the following competencies are required: Relevant Operations Skills; Integrity; Passion; Enthusiasm; Self-Motivation; Excellent Communication Skills; Etiquette; Problem Solving Skills; and Good Grooming.
