Kenya Community Development Foundation (KCDF) is Kenyan public
foundation that supports community development initiatives throughout Kenya,
through grantmaking and capacity development. Our areas of support cut across
diverse issues that affect vulnerable and marginalized communities.
Consequently, we are seeking to fill TWO fundraising positions as follows:
1. Institutional Fundraising Coordinator
2. Corporate Fundraising Officer
Institutional Fundraising Coordinator
This position works very closely with the Programme Director in mobilizing institutional funding to support the mission and strategic goals of KCDF, specifically programme development funding.
The holder of this position will be a key contributor to the
growth of the programme funding portfolio; the day to day management of data
and information of current and future donors to KCDF’s work; and donor
relationship management in close consultation with the Programme
Director.
S/He must be able to accurately interpret KCDF’s strategic
development goals and objectives, align them to the national development
priorities and translate those ideas into resource mobilization
opportunities.
S/He must be proficient in proposal writing and a fast learner,
able to work in a highly technical team.
The ideal candidate must have at least five (5) years
professional experience and a holder of a relevant degree from a recognized
university.

Corporate Fundraising Officer
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the holder of the position will take a lead role in building local philanthropy among different target audiences in line with the objectives of the foundation which include growing local giving in Kenya.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for developing a
resource mobilization strategy with clear deliverables and targets for each
target audiences, including individuals, companies, and diaspora based on the
organization’s strategic plan.
Other key tasks shall include working closely with the
communication team in designing and implementing effective and diverse profile
raising activities for KCDF’s work, which is key to successful local
fundraising.
The candidate shall also take lead in ensuring all fundraising
events are effectively and efficiently organized and coordinated.
This ideal candidate must therefore posses a minimum of five (5)
years progressive experience in corporate fundraising, events planning and
relationships management.
