Embu Agricultural Staff Training (EAST) College, The Embu University College
(EUC) was established as a Constituent College of the University of Nairobi
through Legal Notice No. 65 of 17 June, 2011.
The objective of the University College is to play a leading role in the
development and expansion of opportunities for higher education and research in
agriculture, agribusiness, forestry, water and land management, biological
& physical sciences. The College seeks to develop into a centre of excellence for learning and research in agriculture and farming systems within and outside Kenya.
The University College now wishes to fill the following positions with qualified and experienced staff ready to spearhead the new College towards the attainment of the above objectives.
Assistant Internal Auditor
Applicants must be holders of CPA part III or its equivalent and at least 3 years experience in a busy audit department like a university setting.
Must be computer literate with excellent analytical, interpersonal and report writing skills.
The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of the current auditing standards and practices.
Director ICT
Applicants must have Masters Degree in IT/IS/Computer Science or related field, plus Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information Communication Technology from a recognized university. They should have at least one relevant Professional Qualification (CCNA, CISA, CISM, MSCE, OCP, etc) and belong to a relevant professional association.
They should have had at least seven (7) years working experience in a technical Telecommunications/Engineering/IT management position.
Performance, achievements and discipline in previous work stations will also be considered.
System Administrator/Network Administrator
Applicants should be holders of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, information technology or related field from a recognized institution.
They should also have at least three (3) years of relevant work experience as System Administrator in a university or equivalent research institution.
Applicant must have good working knowledge and experience in hardware, networking, software, Linux, managing servers, knowledge in wireless communication devices and major PC applications. CCNA, MCSE certification will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will be involved in planning preparing and implementing solutions for the University’s ICT infrastructure.
Assistant Webmaster
Applicants should be holders of a Diploma (or its equivalent) in computer science, information technology or related field from a recognized institution.
They should also have at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in demonstrable skills in scripting languages.
They should have worked in Web development in a large public/private institution or higher learning institution.
The successful candidate will be involved in developing and updating of the University’s Web and other related activities.
Computer Technician
Applicants must have a Diploma in computer science, information technology or related fields and possess KCSE Grade C or equivalent academic certificate.
They must also have three (3) years experience as technicians in a university or research institution and be able to operate and maintain hardware, network, software, Linux, managing servers, knowledge in wireless communication devices and major PC applications.
