A leading Sacco in Thika Town within Kiambu County is looking for experienced & qualified persons to fill the following positions:-

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Job Summary

Responsible for providing visionary leadership and direction in the realization of the SACCO’s Vision.

Specifically, he/she will be overseeing the daily management of operations to ensure excellent services to members, growth in a profitable and sustainable manner.

The job holder will report to the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities
·                     Provide visionary leadership and direction to the Sacco to ensure the efficient management of staff and resources
·                     Provide leadership in formulation and implementation of best business practices, policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
·                     Promote an organizational culture that promotes high member service standards and ethical practices
·                     Continuously review the SACCO’s business strategy and recommend appropriate changes in line with the changing business environment.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
·                     A Bachelor’s degree in a business related field.
·                     Professional qualification in accounting, banking micro-finance or marketing.
·                     Minimum 5 years experience in a managerial position in a financial institution operations including planning, budgeting, marketing and credit administration
·                     Excellent managerial and organizational development skills with the ability to provide focused leadership
·                     Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions in line with established policies and procedures
·                     Be a charismatic individual who commands presence, demonstrates sound decision making and judgement capabilities, integrity, resilience and self drive.
·                     Proficient with computers and use of technology to drive organizational goals

Reporting to the Finance / FOSA Manager, the position is responsible for advising the management on financial and accounting matters:

Key Tasks
·                     Preparation of management financial reports
·                     Development and monitoring of the SACCO budgets
·                     Preparation of financial statements
Job Requirements
·                     A university degree in Commerce/ Accounting/ Finance
·                     A requisite professional qualification– ACCA / CPA (K)
·                     3 years experience in financial management and accounting in similar position
·                     Strong ICT skills
·                     Demonstration of team building, leadership skills, interpersonal and communication skills
·                     Age between 30-40 years
Teller 2 Positions

Key Responsibilities
·                     Receiving, paying and reconciliation of cash and cheques;
·                     Daily postings of cash and non cash transactions;
·                     Maintenance of accurate records for easy tracking and retrieval;
·                     End of day reconciliation of cash balances against the daily transactions;
·                     Attending to customer queries;
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required
·                     Age 23 – 30 years;
·                     Experience in banking, micro finance or similar work environment;
·                     KCSE Grade C -;
·                     Proficiency in computer skills;
·                     At least 2 years’ relevant working experience;
·                     High degree of integrity, a team player with effective communication skills;
ICT Officer

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for;
·                      Management and Maintenance of all Society’s Computers, software and related material.
·                     Administration of Local Area Networks ensuring connectivity is up and running
·                     Carry out routine backups and security procedures on a daily basis
·                     Procurement of IT material and liaising with service providers.
·                     Handle staff’s IT related problems as they arise and registration of new members
·                     Regularly updating the society’s website, propose and implement new technologies
·                     Respond to members queries and other duties assigned
Requirements /Qualifications
·                     Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline from a recognized institution
·                     Practical knowledge of CCNA, MCSE / MCITP / MCPD, LPIC / Linux+ / RHCE, Network, Security+, Cisco, Networking, and *nix, Microsoft, Prior hands-on experience as a systems or network administrator
·                     Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and network protocols, UNIX/Linux/BSD systems, Microsoft Operating Systems and solutions, Databases (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL), Networking (LAN, WAN etc)
·                     Strong working knowledge of network directory services, including configuration of user identification, authentication and authorization
·                     Knowledge of and experience with object-oriented design and a good appreciation of Banking Operations.
·                     Proficiency in ERP software’s preferably Microsoft’s NAVISION SOFTWARE will be added advantage
