Job Description & Duties
- Develop
and analyse information to assess the current and future financial status
of firms.
- Establish
procedures for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral,
and securities, in order to ensure safekeeping.
- Evaluate
data pertaining to costs in order to plan budgets.
- Evaluate
financial reporting systems, accounting and collection procedures, and
investment activities, and make recommendations for changes to procedures,
operating systems, budgets, and other financial control functions.
- Oversee
the flow of cash and financial instruments.
- Plan,
direct, and coordinate risk and insurance programs of establishments to
control risks and losses.
- Plan,
direct, and coordinate the activities of workers in branches, offices, or
departments of such establishments as branch banks, brokerage firms, risk
and insurance departments, or credit departments.
- Prepare
financial and regulatory reports required by laws, regulations, and boards
of directors.
- Prepare
operational and risk reports for management analysis.
- Communicate
with stockholders and other investors to provide information, and to raise
capital.
- Analyse
and classify risks and investments to determine their potential impacts on
companies.
- Establish
and maintain relationships with individual and business customers, and
provide assistance with problems these customers may encounter.
- Examine,
evaluate, and process loan applications.
- Recruit
staff members, and oversee training programs.
- Review
collection reports to determine the status of collections and the amounts
of outstanding balances.
- Review
reports of securities transactions and price lists in order to analyse
market conditions.
- Submit
delinquent accounts to attorneys or outside agencies for collection.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's
degree in business with finance or accounting focus; MBA preferred.
- 5
- 7 years of related experience.

- In
this position, the Sr Manager Finance will be expected to provide
financial leadership, direction and analysis.
- The
Sr Mgr Finance will play a key role in driving functional metrics, controlling
costs, and work closely with the functional leader in order to achieve
business goals.
- This
position will be responsible for developing financial planning, reporting
and leading a team of professionals.
- Strategic
Analysis/Problem Solving - Works to fully understand business; identify
and implement process and organizational improvements. Plans and ensures
execution of department objectives.
- Participates
in preparation of the annual budget, reviews monthly expenditures and
ensures that budgetary goals are met. Reviews monthly metrics to ensure
goals are met.
- Project
Management- Participates in cross-functional activities focused on solving
business issues. Facilitates cross-functional communication with other
areas of the business including but not limited to Finance, Operations,
and Information Systems.
- Leads,
plans, and coordinates work teams in an efficient manner to effectively
perform any financial function and activity. Ensures operational processes
and procedures are compliant and consist with established policies.
- Predict
Revenues and Expenditures and Report to Management.
- Conduct
financial planning for function and make appropriate recommendations.
- Drive
key functional financial metrics.

Qualifications and Experience:
- The
knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion
of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study
related to the job.
- Minimum
of 10 years relevant work experience
- MBA
- Thorough
working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal
accounting controls
- Knowledge
of business and management. Principles involved in strategic planning and
resource allocation.
- Ability
to develop and implement strategies that support the objectives of the
company
- Ability
to lead and develop subordinates
- Able
to effectively communicate with all departments and levels of associates
through both verbal and written methods
- Critical
thinking skills; using logic to identify strengths and weaknesses of
alternative solutions, applying general rules to specific problems.
