The Institute of
Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) is seeking to fill the following
position which has arisen in Audit Department.
Audit Assistant
Job SummaryReporting to Audit Manager, the Audit Assistant shall provide assistance to the department in fulfilling various responsibilities as outlined below.
- To
liaise with external auditors to ensure external audits and financial
reporting processes are efficient and effective.
- To
conduct appropriate (governance and performance) assessment exercises so
as to streamline the Institute’ performance and governance processes.
- To
facilitate the Audit Risk & Governance Committee in reviewing the
effectiveness of ICPAK’s processes of Corporate Governance and to enable
the Institute to implement best practice
- Facilitate
risk and controls self assessment throughout ICPAK
- Participate
in developing risk management manuals and policies
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- First
degree in B.Com Accounting or Finance from a recognized University
- Currently
pursuing CPA qualifications having completed Section 4
Experience
- Minimum
2 years relevant experience obtained in an auditing environment especially
on risk management
- Good
knowledge of various International Financial Reporting and Auditing and
Assurance Standards
- Must be
computer literate and well conversant with current ICT
- Good
communication and report writing skills
