Accounting Manager Job in Juba South Sudan


Medecins Sans Frontieres – Belgium is looking for a Field Accounting Manager
Based in Juba-South Sudan, on a fixed term contract (6 months), extendable.
The Field Accounting Manager will be the senior accountant for the mission, reporting to the Finance coordinator (Finco). Under the responsibility of the Finco, the Field Accounting Manager is directly responsible for the quality of accounting, on a daily/ monthly/ yearly basis and guarantees the strict implementation of MSF accounting procedures.


Main tasks include, but not limited to:
·         Ensuring quality, timely and accurate accounting for the whole mission
·         Guaranteeing compliance to MSF OCB guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures for the mission
·         Providing support, trainings, and feedback to finance staff on accounting issues.
·         Petty cash/ bank reconciliation management
·         Proactively be involved in budget planning and financial reporting/ closure.
Working hours: 48 hours/ week.
Requirements/ Profile:
·         Education: A minimum of CPA II with a Degree in related field.
·         Experience: At least 2 years relevant experience in similar position. Previous experience in MSF or other INGO is an added advantage.
·         Knowledge: Computer literate with practical use of MS-Office, internet. Knowledge of SAGA software is an added advantage.
·         Skills: Strong analytical skills; initiative; good management skills; ability to handle complex assignments; good communication skills.
·         Language: Fluent in English.
·         Qualities: Flexible; motivated; autonomous; high degree of integrity; ability to work in a demanding and challenging work environment.
