Our client, a leading Pan-African communications solutions
provider is looking to recruit a Sales and
Marketing Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Business / General
Manager, the main purpose of the job is to drive Revenue Generation and
Business Development.
The job holder will be responsible for
developing and implementing the company’s overall commercial strategy as well
as advising the management on the various aspects of sales and marketing.
These include; market research, sales and
marketing strategy, advertising, promotion, pricing, product development and
public relations. He/she with the support of the sales team will be responsible
for achieving maximum profitability and growth in line with company’s vision
and values.
§ Design, Implement and execute annual sales plan and marketing
plan, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in order to accelerate business
growth for the company.
§ Plan and administer the company’s Sales and Marketing
Operations budget while managing costs and support the development of the Kenya
regional marketing budgets.
§ Prepare and submit progress and annual business development
reports to management regarding market dynamics, customer needs and competitor
analysis.
§ Assist in developing a pricing strategy in order to maximize
on profits while ensuring competitiveness of the company’s products.
§ Actively be involved in market research and work
collaboratively with product development specialists to tailor-make portfolios
and solutions to meet client needs.
§ Work with public relations, promotion and advertising
agencies to promote the company’s products.
§ Develop new distribution channels while managing the existing
distributors in the regions.
§ Be proactive in developing a Customer Relationship Management
(CRM) offering that will enhance customer satisfaction and adhere to Service
Level Agreements (SLAs).
§ Build strategic relationships with relevant stakeholders
internal and external stakeholders including; government and financial bodies,
investors and similar businesses to support and improve service delivery.
§ Manage the Sales and Marketing Team including facilitating
recruitment and selection of staff, motivating and training them.
Requirements
§ Business Related degree, possession of an MBA preferred.
§ Minimum 7 years experience in a similar role with a
demonstrable track record of exceptional Business Development performance
focused on revenue growth.
§ Experience in Developing and implementing Business
development strategy a MUST.
§ Customer-centric focus with excellent communication and
presentation skills
§ Good negotiation and persuasion skills and an excellent team
player.
§ Strong problem analysis, judgment and decision making skills.
§ Enthusiastic, self-motivated, ‘can do’ attitude – very goal
orientated with strong planning and organizing skills.
