Christian Health Association of Kenya, a
national faith based organization committed to promoting access to quality
health care is seeking suitable candidates for the following positions for a
5-year CDC funded comprehensive HIV AIDS Care and Treatment Project in selected
faith based affiliated sites in Central, Eastern and Nairobi regions:
1. Clinical Coordinator (Medical Doctor - Physician/ Pediatrician)
The position reports to the Project Principal Investigator.

Key roles and responsibilities:
- Lead
the development, implementation and evaluation of the HIV care , treatment
and support strategy
- Assist
CHAK and its partners in the assessment, development, improvement and
dissemination of sound HIV/AIDS care policies and strategies
- Provide
support to implementing sites on comprehensive HIV care and treatment issues
through core technical assistance teams
- Analyze,
synthesize and disseminate cutting edge methodologies, lessons learned and
best practices to partners regarding comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and their
application to policies and programs.
- Promote
information exchange with partners, regional institutions and networks
about effective program implementation practices and lessons learned on
all aspects related to HIV care
Desired Skills:
- Technical
expertise and experience in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and
support
- Demonstrated
organizational, training and facilitation skills including clinical
mentorship
- Demonstrated
knowledge of USG/PEPFAR results reporting requirements
- Excellent
communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a team player
Education and Experience:
- Professional
advanced medical degree, MMed (Internal Medicine/Pediatrics)
- Minimum
of 2 years experience in HIV&AIDS programs or clinical work
- Skilled
in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
2. Community Based Treatment Support Specialist
Key roles and responsibilities:

- Provide
technical assistance and capacity building to implementing sites staff on
community based HIV care activities and treatment adherence initiatives
- Promote
linkages and collaboration between treatment sites and CBOs involved in
community based HIV & AIDS care, treatment and support
- Identify,
document and share lessons on various community based treatment adherence
models
Desired qualifications, skills and experience
- Degree
in Nursing, Public Health or a health related field
- At
least three years experience in community based HIV/AIDS programming
- Good
interpersonal and cross cultural skills
- Experience
in capacity building through training and mentorship and community
mobilization
- Skilled
in Word, Excel and Power Point applications
- At
least 3 years experience in HIV related community work
